Um, what country are you from? I don't know that that's the law where I live.
Punish him and let him know it's not acceptable. There's no point in reporting it if it's a once-off.
I'd probably be more wary if I had children though.
Nothing is going down with my dog, I will protect the little guy til the end. He was attacked by 2 German Shepard's at once on one occasion and by 2 pitbulls on another. The Shepard's are afraid when we walk through everyday. In case and point of the pits, well they almost died that day, my dog received to minimal marks from them. You can't tell it happened. My dog's name is Cody and he is a mixed breed-Shitzu/American Bulldog -he's a Bullshitz, yes that's a real breed and technical name. He looks similar to a French Bulldog, but with more muscle definition, and weighs 34ibs. Cody is small, actually like a puppy that has stop growing, but if anyone tries to harm him, it game over!! We rule!
@evilvegeta74: You two sound close. That's great!

I love my little guy, he's on the couch with me now! Many of the neighborhood kids love him as well regardless of nationality. We can't go past children without them running up to pet Cody!
@evilvegeta74: my Rico is a rescue from Puerto Rico. He's so well behaved.

Rico is fortunate to have you in his life. I'm glad he has bonded well with you! There is nothing like a bond between a dog and their owners. You could almost say it's sacred.
@squares: AMERICA. a dog attacks someone it is to be euthanized, you never heard of that in your country?

Why the hell would I have heard about American animal control laws? I'm Canadian.
@squares: I initially thought you were an American dude. I was wrong twice.

Um...what? Because I didn't know what country you were from?
If your dog bites you and you have it put down, you should consider never having children. Chances are, you're the problem.
That means you need more training on how to handle a dog. You can see the signs of an attack beforehand and correct him before he actually attacks. I'd go to a dog training course with him/her.
