Like the title says..
I like a variety of music. Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Jazz and Hip Hop
Lately it's been a lot of Hip Hop because I rap. What about you? What music are you into or what are your favorite artists?

Traditional Heavy Metal, Speed Metal, Thrash Metal, Punk, Hardcore Punk. I like other stuff, but this is the majority of what I listen to.
Rap, all day, erryday.
This.
But I also like Britpop, Alternate Rock, R and B and Club music alot so yea
Rap, all day, erryday.
Don't really have a specific favorite, but I'm into hip hop, trip hop, acid jazz, nu jazz, and chill. I like anything with a nice, slow beat.
Alternative rock. That stuff feeds my soul.
All of it. The whole thing.....
So much this :)
A whole range of stuff:

I think it was Bill Weber from the Murder Junkies who said "There are only two types of music. Good music and bad music and I like 'em both."
Whatever I'm in the mood to listen to. I listen to all music, from 50s Rock n Roll to now. Some more than others, that's all.
@longbowhunter: That is a wonderful quote, and I agree wholeheartedly :)
Most of my tastes fall under the umbrella of punk and the like.
Psyche/Garage/Proto Punk (Roky Erickson, MC5, The Stooges)
Punk (The Damned, Dead Boys, Plasmatics, Germs, X)
80's Hardcore (TSOL, Middle Class, Black Flag, Circle Jerks)
Post Punk (Mission of Burma, Joy Division, Nick Cave)
Post Hardcore (Big Black, Nomeansno, Saccharine Trust)
Noise/Experimental (Melvins, Scratch Acid, Butthole Surfers)
Early Indie/Alternative (Dinosaur Jr., Ween, Meat Puppets)
@longbowhunter: You, sir, have a very good taste.
@thedandyman: Hey, thanks man. I notice you're a Nick Cave fan too. I caught him and the Bad Seeds in concert over the summer. The man is in his late 50's and put on one of the most high energy show I've seen. Unbelievable!
Music is amazing, no matter the genre. If the song is good, I am in love but I do have extra affection for indie rock and electronic dance.
I'll give anything a go. I've been in love with Alt-Rock lately. I don't care for most rap, but there are some songs I like. The only thing I won't listen to is Reggae, because it literally 90% of it sounds the same.
Aside from my regular full-time job, I'm also working part-time in a recording studio, so I pretty much enjoy most genres and will listen to anything and everything. I do however have a predisposition towards Progressive Rock.
Just a couple of favorite bands:
RUSH
PORCUPINE TREE
I am into a lot of different types and will listen to anything at least once. Mainly my music taste revolves around..
Mostly metal (groove metal to be specific, but I occasionally dribble into other sub-genres of metal too) and classic rock. Other than that hard rock comes to mind, also country, blue, acoustic and very rarely jazz are in my listening list too.
Depends on mood. I've had moments where I listened to only metal for a week, one where it was all reggae, more often than not though I keep a healthy rotation of all genres which includes rock, jazz, pop, orchestral, and even dubstep among the many many genres out there. I just can't limit myself to a single genre.
I used to think of myself as just a rock and roll person (particularly older rock and metal), but the more I think about it there's a lot more I like than that.
On paper, Dream Theater is my favorite band, but in reality the artist I listen to most changes a lot. Remember how I said yesterday I've gotten more attached to my Irish heritage? Listening to a lot of Dropkick Murphys was a big reason for that.
@longbowhunter: Sounds awesome, I would love to go to one myself sometime. Very few other artists can keep me entertained for fifteen minutes (Babe, I'm On Fire is that long) but Nick is an exception.

That song is long. Nocturama is an awesome album.
@longbowhunter: What's your favourite songs? I'd say (in no particular order):
@racob7: That cover of Toxic is awesome.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - Midnight Man, Abattoir Blues, Weeping Song, the obligatory classics like Red Right Hand and Mercy Seat
Grinderman - Palaces of Montezuma, When My Love Comes Down
The Birthday Party - She's Hit, Kiss Me Black, Release the Bats
I know there are probably a half dozen songs I'm forgetting, but these are the ones that immediately spring to mind.
You like comics? You like Nick Cave? If you haven't already checkout Paul Pope's One Trick Ripoff. One of the characters is modeled after Nick Cave and the introduction by Charles Brownstein goes into depth about Cave's influence over Pope's work. Pretty good read.
@longbowhunter: I'll have a search and see if I can get my hands on a copy.
Pretty much everything, even starting to tolorate hip hop but only from the 80's/ 90's. Love film scores to.
