What is the word for bigotry when you think you fairly understand a group?

I think it's still bigotry. As I understand it, bigotry is just a general intolerance of views or people who disagree with you. It doesn't matter if you can't stand them out of ignorance or out of careful consideration; it's still bigotry.

It means your intuitive but should probably keep it to yourself.

I always thought bigotry was intolerance, or more specifically HATRED towards an entire group. I wouldn't call it bigotry if it were to one person ('cause then everyone is a bigot).

I was going to say I was surprised at how vague the definition of Bigot is, but then I realised that I'd just run into a crappy definition. Merriam Webster and Cambridge dictionary stipulate that it has to be an unreasonable dislike of a group to make you a Bigot.

ie saying you hate Nazi's doesn't make you a bigot

According to the people who worship Political Correctness: Nazis or other groups that have ideologies that glorify committing acts of murder, theft, and sexual immorality should be celebrated by everyone.

Followers of Political Correctness want to celebrate people who's ideology/religion glorifies Theft, Murder and Rape in the name of Multiculturalism.

I feel like most bigot do believe they understand the groups they can't tolerate.

Bigotry seems like an ill defined word for how it's used. Never liked the definition of it since it seems to be too broad when it almost always refers to discrimination or intolerance to minories specifically.

Bigotry means anyone who isn't a fart sniffing liberal. That's also the same definition as "Racist" & "Islamaphobe"
