I was just banned from TrekBBS for a relatively minor offense with no warnings. Why shouldn't I care?

It happens. People can be petty.

Yeah, but they're supposed to give warnings first. Pretty pathetic.

They can give you an unjustified warning sometimes. It doesn't make things much easier to swallow.

They would recognize my email address. And even if they didn't, I don't feel like posting there again when I know they don't want me around. I made captain today with exactly 500 posts and was banned. I did apologize using a different screenname and if they accept it and reinstate me, I'll go back. If they don't, then whatever, I'll move on.

I started a post comparing the resourcefulness of the T-1000 with the resourcefulness of Data, the EMH, and Odo. A moderator closed the thread and said that it was 'fluff.' I then became frustrated and said some things I shouldn't have, but nothing too extreme. The head-honcho moderator said that it was a stupid question. Really? How is comparing these fictional characters stupid?

It happens. Power corrupts and humans are flawed.

Oh well, guess they're more strict about the rules there then on here.

Well, they should have stuck to their own rules about warning people.

I suggest you find a good site and make it home, such as this one.
