Looks like the French and Swiss are about to suck us all into a black hole. Or not.
Gotta love how the scientists insist this won't happen, but then say that since this is "exploratory science", they can't be certain what results they'll get.
That's why I have cleared my schedule for Wednesday when they try an experiment.
I figure that if a black hole opens up, I might just about get chance to pick up some Swiss chocolates on my way down the 'hole'.
As a scientist I am fascinated by the science behind the experiment and what can be achieved but at the same time the hairs on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about the forces to be unleashed and for me thats a sure sign that I have some major concerns.
Why would they try to open a black hole for? if they want to study one just try and get in a ship and go.. hopefully the black hole be a 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 light years away and the stupid scientist would die in space......
he is probably a nerd who got a bad life and hates bullies and want to kill us all :P
They've flipped the switch. Hold on to yer bits.
AND Exactly what does the UN have to say about it? I mean they just let this happen even if the consequences could be the mass destruction of the earth? Wow so much for our leaders... I would shut down that project.... who cares how the universe was created, just live your life and stop whining....
Me whit billions of dollars? $$$$ Hah! I would be in the Bahamas half naked getting a tan, even if I can't get any darker, but still. I would be with ten different girls each one from a different countries feeding me grapes and giving me a massage whit a happy ending.
People really need to start learning the basic principals of physics and what the LHC is designed to do before assuming it's going to create a black hole large enough to sustain itself, let alone swallow Earth or some such nonsense. They won't even be doing collisions anytime soon. So, if you're expecting something disastrous to happen, feel free to hold your breath for the next 2-4 months.
