T.I. or macklemore
@m3th: nah I'm comparing talent to a fad
Macklemore is straight garbage.
But sheet, it was 99 cents!
Oh No. You're one of them.
Macklemoore is talented such as T.I.
and maybe even more talented given who you ask.
Macklemoore has been rapping for over a decade. Most Macklemoore haters or nay Sayers haven't listened to his full body album. A majority of his songs are totally not remotely close to "Thrift Shop."
And T.I. does the same $#!% Macklemoore did or maybe even worse. Big named producer, get a famous Singer, and buy a already written hook, now spit.
Macklemoore does use a lot of features but he actually worked with them on the project and gives major credit to his producer Ryan Lewis.
T.I. is more talented how? Lyrics? If you listen to both artist's full body of work it is arguable.
I do not view T.I. as the highest lyrical wordsmith to someone like Andre 3000.
Macklemoore does most songs about deep stories with powerful emotions. He cares more about what he's saying rather than how clever he is saying it. Yeah he made a couple "pop" records but it flows better with the album than to be filled with low, slow, bleak songs.
T.I. makes generic music. Yeah I said it. His album is no different than a Lil Wayne's, Jeezy's, or even 2 Chainz.
It's always bad when an artist loses credibility just because they are popular.
I'm not gonna stand to read "talent vs fad" when T.I. is making "pop" records and general "trap" records that are clearly fads and be dubbed more talented than a more popular "new" artist.
Have you heard T.I.'s song with Keri Hilson? Have you heard his "Trap Back Jumping" record?
I can keep going but this is another conversation better suited in person.
Imma bring this up to my friend who OS a huge T.I. fan. I know it'll be a good conversation.

@vaccine: @nintendork666: Have either of you two listened to "Wings", "Starting Over", or "Jimmy Iovine" from Macklemore?
June'sVeryOwn
I. If you like Ab-Soul and want to hear about why being independent is better listen to "Jimmy Iovine." I'm a fan of Soulo and I love the chorus he spits.
II. If you enjoyed "Wings" for the introspective view on materialism you'll enjoy "Starting Over" which is his very personal tale of addiction.
June'sVeryOwn
I like both. But currently, Macklemore.
I lost a lot of respect for Mackelmore when he let his "Wings" be the anthem for the NBA/NikE Area.
While editing out all the anti NikE stuff
although he is straight ,Mackelmore supports gay rights
although he is wealthy, still shops at thrift shops
he addresses racial inequality as a white rapper
TI raps about the ghetto and stuff....and killed somebody or something
:(
@emequious_swerve: he raps about real life and not some ish that sounds like a new school will Smith
@emequious_swerve: he raps about real life and not some ish that sounds like a new school will Smith
I'm just saying, when it comes to rapping T.I. is probably better, but as an all around actual human being, Mackelmore is way more gangsta
@emequious_swerve: hahahahahahahaha
Macklemore is straight garbage.
lmfao
Macklemore is straight garbage.
T.I. is a legend...
Technically he is The King of The South since Luda don't even rap no more...
Macklemore is straight garbage.
