Fight takes place in a rainforest environment with a climate suitable for both parties. They start visible, 20 feet apart. The Komodo Dragon is hungry. The Gorilla perceives the Komodo as a direct threat to his family and as a result is fully intent on destroying it.

Fight to the death, tactical retreats are allowed within reason.

They both die. I'm sure a silver back would kill it with difficulty but that's not all. Komodo dragon bites are toxic. I think it's due to the bacteria that thrive in their mouth.

Anyway they both die. I find it sad when apes or canines die.

This kind of reminds me of the Mountain and the Red Viper's fight in Game of Thrones or ASOIAF, depending on which you like more.

Either Gorilla or stalemate. One bite is literally all the Komodo needs to ensure the gorilla's death, but the gorilla has strength, hands, and his teeth that the Komodo has to worry about.

Stalemate. K.D. bites King Kong just in time for him to crush him.

If the komodo gets a bite, the ape is sure to die.

The bite will kill the Gorilla eventually, but in a fight to the death the Gorilla will kill the Komodo Dragon well before the bite kills him with all the adrenaline pumping.

This is like King Kong vs Godzilla

Komodo Dragon bites are venemous not toxic. Their bites (sans venom) are actually quite bacterially clear. It's only because their prey wallows in filthy water that their wounds become infected.

Throw a child in the mix and the Gorilla gets stomped.

I think the Komodo Dragon would take this, due to speed, cunning, and patience. The Komodo Dragon has a venomous bite and all it needs to do is bite the gorilla and avoid it until it gets fatigued; also, Komodo Dragons are noted for taking out very large animals that are much larger; the dragon is likely to distance itself from the angry gorilla to avoid the initial confrontation, but would likely come back and strike the gorilla unaware; once it inflicts that bite, it has it. Or, on the off chance, they both die, as the dragon is still likely to get a bite in on the gorilla. Probably the only creature likely to beat a Komodo is an alligator or crocodile, due to their tough hides that would likely protect them from the bite long enough for them to kill and eat it, and, I suspect that alligators and crocodiles were their only known predators, before habitat destruction and displacement by humans; and, of course, a human will beat it by out smarting it; but, against another animal, it's likely to outsmart that other animal.

Gorilla tears the dragon apart, but like others have said, that one bite the dragon gets in has a very good chance of eventually killing Harambe.

@dshipp17: Alligators don't live on the same continent as Komodo Dragons I'm afraid.

The gorilla wins. End of story. Even if it does get bitten, guess what? It still walks away a winner, First to die loses. Plus, there's no gurantee that the bite will indeed kill the gorilla.

The komodo has the most deadly venom of any animal out there so i woulda think it will be a draw. More likely the gorilla would probably win because even after bite it takes a while before the venom goes into your blood and organs to start affecting you so the gorilla has a good time to maul the komodo. The gorilla would most likely die of the venom later on though

Hell, a decent martial artist can stomp a rhino with ease.

What a joke. Rhino's weight up to around 3 tons and would impale you easily. You can't even damage the rhino without weapons and even then you need high caliber rifles.

Any martial artist can easily dodge the rhino's attacks and hit its eyes.

Expert black belts train blocking punches from vaious directions at very high speeds. I'm sure rhino doesnt swing it's horns nearly as fast as an expert martial artist punches or as fast as the expert can block it's horn attacks.

because i compared the truck to rhinos, i will go for the same environment. in a savannah there are no walls to let the truck crash into.

even if he dodges what is he going to do? beat on the truck until his hands are broken? the truck is not going to let him destroy his tires

Edit.: same goes for the rhino. the rhino won't crash, how stupid do you ythink they are? they fight in their lifes, unlike the dogs we play with they have real fighting experience and won't "crash" like some old rusty car.

and the martial artist is not going to go up to him and beat on his face. if he tries he gets squashed
