there are songs that The Beatles have done that trump any Stones song.....that said,

their(the Beatles) ratio of bad to good songs is like 10:1

95% of the Rolling stones tunes are masterpieces

Beatles, although I saw the Stones in concert during their Steel Wheels tour back in the day. It was amazing (classic GnR opened for them). Still, been a die hard Beatlemanic all my life.

If I was judging off my top 5-10 songs from each I'd prob go with the Beatles but if we are talking like top 30-40 songs I'd say Stones. They made a lot of great songs over about a 15-20 year period.

Stones hands down Beatles awesome as they are, are still pop Rock while the stones are 100% Rock and Roll have better songs, sympathy for the devil, paint it black, Give me shelter, are all above anything the Beatles ever did, and they have so many good songs besides, honky tonk woman, under my thumb, ruby Tuesday, its only Rock n roll, wild horses etc stones are the "Definition" of rock music

Although, there is something to be said for The Stones playing music for a thousand years and still sounding pretty much the same, and still selling out giant stadiums where the nosebleeds cost more the most front row tickets for other bands.
