Rock star hands down. Most rap is garbage. I'd have to sell out and make it sound similar to be successful.

Rock star, rappers always seem to have huge posses which gobble up their money and they wind up broke. The most successful ones diversify into other fields, but this thread appears to be just about the music, so rock on!

Rock Stars tend to lead much more interesting lives. Rappers on the other hand are more about flaunting their cash and putting gold on everything.

Rock star. I couldn't take the "beefs" rappers have with each other. When you gotta make a whole song to talk trash about someone else, then you've elevated immaturity to another level.

Plus, street cred is too vital to many rappers. You can be a rock star and not worry about looking weird (Red Hot ChillI Peppers come to mind).

Probably Rock Star, but I'm not all that interested in either.
