I take it back, I really didn't think McGregor got in Aldo's head at all, boy was I wrong. I can't agree that was a fluke, but that wasn't Aldo. Aldo doesn't usually rush people like that, you could see he wanted get in and just get his hands on Conor for all the shit that was talked. But as we all saw, that was a huge defensive mistake, he was tense and got caught clean. Well placed by Conor.

Sage is so nice though. Why would anyone want to see him lose? He's a complete oddity and fresh wave in the sport Calling Dana Mr White, laughing and complimenting people when they insult him. He just seems so happy to be there and take everything in. In a sport which is full of Loud Mouths and posers, and where alot of people want to be the next Mcgregor 2.0, its genuinely refreshing to see a guy like Sage, who is also supertalented and hard working.

I understand that Dana is pushing him, but that doesn't take away everything else.

Meh. Idk about sage. He is ok but idk if he is just faking when he acts so nice. It seems try hard. But maybe he really is like that off the camera. He is a good fighter nonetheless.

I recall Aldo commenting on him coming in lighter due to the IV ban, to be fair. And he honestly didn't look all that different from usual. I don't see why he said he looks nervous as well, I mean Aldo comes out like that every fight.

he probably wasnt really nervous but he did seem kinda tense with the way he kept shaking and clinching his right hand at the press interview stand off. Its kinda obvious tale tale sign he would have came out of the gate trying to shoot with his right first which he did.

As for the iv things that shit is insane. Idk why on earth they banned iv's. I wouldnt blame aldo's lighter weight on the iv but i do think it has a effect on some fighters in their performance from what i have seen.

I'm not saying that literally not being hooked up to a IV makes him lighter. I'm saying he came in with less muscle mass because he can't rehydrate as effectively without an IV. A lot of fighters are coming in lighter now that it's been banned.

@those_eyes: Btw he didn't go for the right. He feinted the right and went for a left hook. Him clenching his fists at the stare down didn't mean anything specific about the strike he was going to throw off of the bat, I recall Conor claiming he predicted this, but he really didn't. The staredown may have hinted to his emotions being high but that's about it.

I want to see a second fight. Maybe not right away but I really want to see them go at it again, so there's no question that he beat Aldo at his best. Aldo really skipped over the feeling out process and just rushed in, which he does in his fights but that's when he has his timing down. Conor was the better man no doubt. I'm not claiming it's a fluke, but i'd love to see another fight. Have Conor fight Edgar and Aldo fight someone for the number one contender spot. I'd rather that then see Conor get smashed at LW.
