John Wick Chapter 1 or 2?
Chapter 2 by far. It has everything good about the first one plus more John Wick. It builds on the first one's action while adding new elements and characters.
Chapter 2. Like Raid 2, it ups the action while world building.
Chapter 1: It was a surprise hit that came out of nowhere. The emotional core and twist on the revenge genre also made it feel fresh to audiences. That being said, it does start to fall apart near the end.
Chapter 2: It lacks the emotional core of the first one, but not only does it change it up so it doesn't feel like a repeat of the first one but it doubles down on everything we liked about the first one (action and world building), while also building up to a much better ending that leaves us wanting more.
While I thought at first that they were equal, I'd honestly have to give it to Chapter 2.
Chapter 1 was much better with the emotion of John Wick and such. Chapter 2 provides showings of why he was the man you sent to kill the Bogeyman. It was especially good to see his skill with a pencil as the first chapter teased us with saying he killed 3 men with a pencil. It builds on this new cinematic universe that was created in chapter 1. Chapter 2 was a little better overall.
@jhazzroucher: The mute lady is Ruby Rose, or something, she's famous for being on OITNB...And looking like Bieber.
Chapter 2. Like Raid 2, it ups the action while world building.
Reading about how good it is but;
@buildhare: Oh, ho, ho, ho, sheeeeet. That's rough. I had to wait four days and I thought that was bad, lol. Stay strong, brother.
One person says "world building" and everyone says it. Lmao.
People like Raid 2? I thought it was a huge step down from the first. Despite the fights and feats, it somehow managed to be boring.
Inb4 sequels are hated on for absolutely no other reason other than it not the first in its franchise.
chp1 was just action
cp2 had action and a story
but part 2 dragged on a little to finally get to the action
The first's gun shootouts felt cleaner but the hand to hand scenes were amazing in the second.
i really thought i was the only that noticed that part 2 had me a little more uncomfortable
Something something world building.
