Is Dick Hardly the most despicable character in a children show?

Dick Hardly (yes that's his name...) is that infamous one time villain from the Powerpuff Girls episode "Knock It Off".

He pretty much created cheap and grotesque versions of the Powerpuff Girls while intentionally making them physically unstable so that they would die sooner just to keep recycling more copies all for profit. He even killed a perfect clone of Buttercup just to squeeze more Chemical X to make a worse clone. And all of these clones had sentience (yet weren't treated with love or care).

At the end of the episode, he attempts to drain the Powerpuff Girls of their Chemical X to continue selling knockoffs by slowly torturing the girls to death in front of the Professor. Professor Utonium even offers to become his slave to mass produce Chemical X if he freed the girls, but Dick nonchalantly planned to make Utonium his slave and still murder the girls.

The scary thing about Dick is that aside from his episode being very creepy, he's literally devoid of any redeeming or even comedic qualities. He was a sleazy womanizer and knew with he was doing was morally wrong yet still had no remorse.

Like he's arguably less likeable and more depraved than freakin' HIM (think about it...).

What are your thoughts?

Fair enough, though even he had some humorous moments, and probably wouldn't kill a child (like in Aku's Fairy Tales).

@gothamciti: He destroys entire civilizations on regular basis, there's no way he's unwilling to kill children.

@racob8: Good point. I guess Dick feels more reprehensible cause he's actually human instead of some quirky devil.

Off the top of my head, I wouldn't be able to tell you their names, but I know I've seen cartoons with rapists and whatnot in them. For children, of course.

I could also say that Cletus Kasady, (Carnage), was in a cartoon, and he had "done things that even The Post won't print!"

Sure, they weren't allowed to say what, but leaving it open to the imagination and his temperament in general allows for some very sickening thoughts to come to mind.

He sounds like a gay pornstar which is unfortunate considering he doesnt have the looks to pull off that name.

Yes. Yes he is. He is the COMPLETE MONSTER of the show. Which is ALSO ironic because the PPG faces off against so many monsters...and the one villain that WASN'T a "LITERAL" monster, was a "figurative" one...in that he was so greedy and lustful of power and money, that he was just....one hell of a villain....like he should be the DEVIL...not HIM...HIM is like a GOOD GUY compared to Dick....

I always found D.W. from Arthur, Red Guy from Cow and Chicken, and Angelica from Rugrats pretty despicable. But I guess the character from the OP is pretty bad too.

Wow, how in the world did this guy stay on air past a single episode? Now, he's a real creep. Wow, that stuff was audacious, but, maybe that's his personality.
