What if i did that every day for 1 month? How much weight would i lose?
Do you think i will lose weight if i walk for 1 hour and 30 minutes?
Like race walking? Maybe. I walk about 2 hours a day walking across campus and I don't lose any weight. I think you're better off just going to the gym.
Not much, honestly. Next to nothing if you don't maintain at least somewhat of a healthy diet and reduce your calorie intake.
As someone else said, you're better off hitting the gym or doing some sprint drills regularly.
Is that a typo in your post? I don't anyone can sprint for 8-12 minutes haha.
If you do the calorie math right and walk uphill (treadmill incline) you might see some decent results.
Doubt it. You're aren't even burning a sufficient amount of calories doing that to even make a difference.
@drake01: Try mixing some jogging and interval runs in with it.
@drake01: I think so. Do it.
@doctor_wheatley: thanks for telling the truth
It'd really help if you posted your height, weight, approximate body fat, and what your diet currently consist of. We wouldn't be able to tell you if you'd lose weight based on just walking for an hour and a half. But, maybe you will or maybe you won't.
Even if you didn't become lighter, you'd be healthier Probably if this is more exercise than you generally get your weight won't change massively, but your fat to muscle ratio certainly will. Regular walks encourage the production of serotonin, help to regulate metabolism, and generally encourage better mental and physical health.
I know a woman, who did nothing but walk (I don't know if she changed her diet, but she lost a LOT of weight over the course of a few years. So evidently walking is a decent way to lose weight. Even if it's gradual. I would definitely reccomend eating a healthy diet along with it, however.
If you're currently getting no exercise now, then absolutely. I'd say stick with this for a month and after that point add some weighted exercises or maybe replace the walking with running once it becomes routine.
Light walk 1st this in the morning as soon as you get up and before breakfast everyday, while staying at caloric deficit you WILL lose weight. Exercise doesn't really help in losing weight, being at a caloric deficit does, the walking in the morning will help burn fat more quickly though. Good luck!

"burst sprinting at INTERVALS for 8-20 minutes"
