That is Joe Quesada talking.
Depressing, but very true......
I'm sorry I don't get this. I'm not dissing it or anything, but I just don't understand it.
"Be water my friend"
@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: It's basically entailing that people are constantly trying to escape the reality they live in, believing that there is something better for them and they won't understand how wrong they were until they reach death.

Screw that. There's a creepy bald guy in an old house with a red pill out there waiting.
Zion was a sub-program in the Matrix designed to ensure those who would rebel never could in reality.
I don't agree with this "meme" for lack of a better word. It preys on people who worry about the uncertainty of the future. Most viners are just around the age that this kind of pessimistic meme would effect the most. It doesn't surprise me that most of "us" find this depressing. However it is not true, its just meant to scare you.
This isn't depressing.
It just means that when you make something of yourself and accomplish something fantastic, you get all the more satisfaction.
Spend your time wisely.
I believe that there is something great hidden inside each human being. We all have our own kind of "Multi-verse" placed deep within ourselves. I believe that if a person lives their life feeling that something better is out there, they are not looking hard enough at what they can be. A person can use their "Multi-verse" to change their perspectives and how they handle situations. This requires work however.
By increasing their will and confidence, one can change themselves and in such they change the world around them. What one must realize is that their main tool, their mind, can evolve and change with the events caused by outside events and other people. In the end, one can not only be a part of the world, but can also reach their potential of being either a destroyer or a creator in this world.
The heroes we read about in our comics or our history books were capable of their great actions by increasing their will and confidence. One does not need an Indomitable Will to bring the greatness in them. All one needs is just a balance of will, initiative, confidence, and most importantly......hope.
If people do not do this, they will most likely restrict themselves to the one universe inside of them in which the meme would hold great truth.
You Want To Feel A Bit Of Greatness Right Now? LISTEN TO AN EPIC SONG......

Yeah, I don't know how much of that affects people on here, but it's something I've thought about back in high school. And in that little picture, the dude is pretty much wasting his life away doing something for a living he probably doesn't care about, and living a boring and sh~tty life. He's pretty much alone in every picture - even on his deathbed - I think that says a lot for the type of person he was and the choices he's made. Dying with that kind of realization and regret must be awful, but hopefully there aren't too many people like that on here..What if you actually decide to get up and make your dreams happen?

I hate to be the one to say this but the whole "One life to live " thing is probably just populist garbage for people to Romanticize their own terrible existence. It's entirely possible and I'd go so far as to argue it's more likely that a multiverse exist and that therefor we all have multiple lives.
And that's not even getting into the fact that technically the you you were yesterday is dead because that you was a day younger then the you that's alive today which are two people separated by a day. Granted it's only a day but when you think about the sort of things you can experiences in a day that's alot.
Take for instance , you could've been fired from your job as a waiter yesterday. That means that the you that was a waiter ceases to be and a new Former Waiter you takes it's place.
That probably didn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm not good at describing metaphysics properly.
