Neither is Doom but nobody is letting details like that get in the way. :)

I was gonna say Steve Rogers but because he's Captain Nazi now I guess that's a bad choice. Probably Doom or Reed. Make Matt and Jen be in the supreme court though.

Anna Marie

Rogue’s criminal childhood instantly would cost her votes. Her adoptive mother also being a known terrorist would basically make her attempt to run laughable. Add that to the fact that she has ties to an on-again, off-again terrorist organization with the X-Men. Finally, the worst thing on her record, is that for decades, she was the beneficiary of assaulting a war hero while performing a crime. Her odds of winning are less than Jill Stein’s.

Carol Danvers

She has a great shot at winning. She was a war hero and was nearly killed while performing her heroics in a fight against terrorists. What does detract from her ability to win is that she has had several run-ins with alcoholism. Not only that, but she has close ties with many mutants, which in Marvel, is worse than having Muslim friends, who are black… and gay.

Hank Pym

He hit his wife once and it is public knowledge. There is no escape for this. Even though it was only one time and there was extenuating circumstances behind it, his own friends haven’t even forgiven him for it, so why would the American public?

James Howlett

As far as the public is concerned, he is also a war hero. His war crimes are largely classified and he would sweep with the women’s vote. He would probably make it fairly far on his war status and Avengers ties but once Wikileaks uncovers all he did as a spy, his political career is over.

Jennifer Walters

Jennifer is a very successful lawyer and that would certainly play to her benefit in the political arena. Honestly, she would probably do very well in the polls… that is, until her opponents start with the mudslinging. Once her cousin is brought up, or her sexual history (which as a woman, would be ammunition against her), she might lose her cool and lose her votes.

Matt Murdock

Another successful lawyer. But political titans could easily paint a picture of him as a man who fills the streets with criminals, is largely absent from his own practice, and who has ties to a criminal known as Daredevil. That and he has no charisma. He couldn’t possibly draw in enough votes to have a chance at winning.

Max Eisenhardt

Well… he almost wiped out humanity several times. Despite this, he manages to pull countless people to his cause. He can promote his fight as a fight for the minority, not against humanity. I can see him going far, doubly so since his fights are almost always against the X-Men, a known terrorist group.

Namor

Namor is narcissistic, constantly brags about himself, is quick to anger, and is prone to petty behavior. He doesn’t care about the people on land and once had single-handidly nearly wiped out an entire nation of black people. He probably would stand a very good chance at winning.

Ororo Munroe

She is charismatic and she would get the minority vote but her hairstyle alone would turn off conservatives, if not her race. Plus, she doesn’t play the political game very well. During her time with T’Challa, she couldn’t even gain the approval of his people, who are obsessed with him.

Peter Parker

He is simply too young. His intellect would also be very intimidating to the average American. He would score some points for being very good looking though.

Reed Richards

Another wife-beater and someone who simply cannot connect with the American public. He would spend his campaign explaining why he is the best choice and providing every piece of evidence to support it but his audience’s eyes would glaze over the moment he stands at the podium. He’s just too smart for his own good.

Scott Summers

His history as the world’s most hated mutant is a problem but his ability to plan for the long term might see him being a startlingly successful opponent late in the election. He would position himself to appear the best possible option once his opponents are caught with their pants down, which would most certainly happen with Scott as their opponent.

Stephen Vincent

He would be seen as a little too… out there. His new age views would gain him the vote of the fringe voters but these same views run very contrary to Christianity and would cost him big points.

Steve Rogers

He is the best option for America and that is saying something considering he is Hydra. He likely would win due to his military record, Christianity, and his strong political leanings towards individualism. He might be seen as part of the establishment, though as a military man he shouldn’t worry. His opponents would likely die mysteriously, if they ever started to threaten his campaign.

Anthony Edward

Probably one of the worst options, which means he will likely be one of the strongest contenders. His run in with alcohol won’t hurt his poll numbers because he has a way of laughing it off that makes people want to excuse it too. He would also make a lot of promises about pulling our country out of debt and skyrocketing it to the wealthiest nation in the world. In addition to that, he will give everyone a free phone that will make the iPhone look like a pile of jet-black shit.

Victor Von Doom

Well honestly, he is a scary dude who says everyone is beneath him. He always talks about how great his brain is and hey, he actually already runs a country. Not only that but he runs it very well. Every time he had been run out of the country and other governments tried to establish democracy, the country falls into shambles. Doom swoops in, reestablishes his dictatorship and the country is radically prosperous in a matter of months. In addition to this, Latveria is completely insulated from international issues under Doom’s rule. All these factors lead me to believe he would have widespread appeal to the American public.

@erik_soong:

I'll try to review them deeper, but as for the characters who are war heroes, I think that would do more harm than good. I don't know when or if the US people would elect another war hero.

If Doom is on the ballot it isn't a vote, because he will only vote for himself and thats the only vote that matter in his mind :)

That said, Doom's Latveria is said to be a decent place to live as long as you follow ze rulez of Doom.
