A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a football dispute ended up with his friend dead

A man has killed his friend in an argument over who is better of Cristiano Ronaldoand Lionel Messi.

The row, which Spanish news agency EFE reports as having taken place at a birthday party, was between two Nigerian men living in Nalasopara, an area of the Indian city of Mumbai.

Local police chief Kiran Kabadi revealed that a man known as Obinna, who was celebrating his 34th birthday, threw a glass at Cristiano Ronaldo fan Nwabu but missed after a heated discussion over the players’ respective merits.

The 24-year-old Nwabu picked up a piece of the broken glass and attacked Messienthusiast Obinna, gashing him and leaving him to die on the floor of his apartment.

Nwabu has been detained by police.

Both footballers had stellar weekends, with Messi back to his best in a 4-0 destruction of Eibar in the Basque Country.

The Argentine forward scored a wonderful solo goal, as well as a penalty, to ensure Barcelona finished the weekend eight points clear of nearest rivals Atletico Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, scored four goals in the 7-1 destruction of Celta Vigo.

The Portuguese was jeered by the Bernabeu crowd as Real Madrid laboured in the first half. But the Portuguese turned it on in the second period to fire Zinedine Zidane’s men to a convincing victory.

1) Suarez is probably the best player alive, but since Uruguay has a population of 5 million people his kit doesn't sell like Messi, Neymar, CR ect and FIFA/ADIDAS/NIKE won't throw their weight behind him because of it.

This is crazy. I don't get why people take sports so seriously. I attended a Real Madrid vs. Rome match and couldn't show support towards Madrid because it was in Rome, and you know from this article alone that football fans can be dangerous.

Messi is a far better player than him, it's not even close. Ronaldo is better than him as well, and has nothing to do with being from Uruguay. The man should be put in jail for biting people, not to mention his racist comments which is why Fifa won't touch him.

I watched that game. if FIFA wasn't corrupt and rigged their whole board wouldn't be facing corruption charges. It has everything to do with Suarez being from Uruguay. And watch his highlights for his last year in Liverpool. Look at his stats after missing all those matches due to suspension. If he was allowed to play the whole season he would've passed Messi in goals and assists. Messi is passed his prime and Cristiano is just not that good.
