Ronaldo is the more complete footballer, almost entirely because of his height. Messi is the more talented/better footballer.

Anybody who thinks Ronaldo is better is a Madrid fan, Portugal fan, Ronaldo fanboy/new to football, or a United fan.

Messi can only be compared to Maradona in terms of playing style.

The one realism of always say Ronaldo is the better player is because he's proved himself in other leagues

Messi has had a team built around him since day one and never once left his comfort zone, he has been Pauling with some of his teammates since childhood so his chemistry will be a lot better

Ronaldo never had a team built around him at Madrid? Di Maria, Bale, Ozil, Benzema, Ramos, Modric, etc. were all world class players he has played with.

Gerrard came third in Balon D'or voting in 2005. Totti and Gerrard are both legends, there's no denying that.

they aren't even comparable. One is a striker, the other is a winger. Only in the past 2 seasons did messi move out the middle.

Each has better attributes over the other.

While I think messi is the better player, and is one of the most naturally gifted players I've ever seen. Ronaldo is pure dedication and essentially "man made", I think Ronaldo could have exceeded in any sport with his work ethic and sheer dedication. But messi is the better player. Both are good role models, but i lost a bit of respect for messi when he booted the ball at the Real fans, and I hate them both for diving.

But neither will be my favourite player.
