Comic Store Recommendations for New Chicago Resident

So I've recently moved into the Chicago suburbs area and was looking for any recommendations on which comic stores are worth checking out. If you need me to be more specific, I'm in the Des Plaines area if that helps.

Oh and bonus points to you if you know of any local coffee shops/cafes that have a nice reading environment to them.

@moviegeek17: Always nice to see a fellow Chicagoan here. Unfortunately, I'm from the city, so I don't know much about Des Plaines. I'm familiar with the area, but not that familiar.

First Aid Comics down in Hyde Park is pretty amazing. They have a great collection and even have a nice manga/anime collection in a seperate room up the stairs. The guys that work there are awesome and will always talk about anything and let you chill around and read. I recommend them. There's another store somewhere downtown on the north side IIRC but I haven't been there in years.
Lmao nvm I didn't read the Des Plaines part...lol ignore all that. Just type in local comic book stores near Des plaines..if there are none I recommend TFAW

Hyde park sounds pretty awesome regardless. I may have to check that one out when I'm around that area. I've been looking into some stores through google maps and such, just figured I'd see if any of the more frequent viners knew of one in particular that's better than the others.

I'm considering giving this one called Keith's comics a shot.

I've been doing pretty well. I graduated college in May, so I'm looking for real world job and such (real fun stuff). As for your other question, I think I will. I've certainly missed the site, though I'll have to figure out what to do here at some point.

How's Magneto? I checked out the first two issues of Moon Knight and dug it, though I'm primarily a trade buyer so I decided to finish the rest up when it hits trade.

@moviegeek17: Magneto has been excellent so far, I recommend it for a Mags fan, but I've been having problems opening the last two issues so there's that.
