Best Grand Theft Auto main series game?

Based on gameplay, it's a tie between San Andreas and GTA V.

Sa or V

San Andreas. My personal favorite story. Favorite sountrack. Light RPG mechanics. Probably has the most single player activities out of all of them.

V was like an incredibly watered down version but at least the single player Heists were fun.

San Andreas

Like others have said, it's between San Andreas and V.

GTA V has the best gameplay, though I prefer GTA IV's story better.

San Andreas has the best story and certainly has the most charm.

San Andreas for story.

GTA V for gameplay.

Definitely San Andreas.SA is my personal fav in the series. Though,V has some pretty decent gameplay.

The fact that it has ray liotta as tommy only cements it for me

GTA V is pretty repetitive imo and was watered down a lot. I enjoyed when I first brought it but I lost the taste I had for it.
