- What happens when you take Sephiroth lightly?
- Favorite planet, fictional or real?
Many people believe Sephiroth's biggest flaw is that he prefers to play with his food before eating it (metaphorically speaking of course). However, that is completely false. There is one person in all of the FF7 franchise whom Sephiroth loves to torment, and that's Cloud. When Sephiroth first turned evil, he burned down an entire town of innocent people, and then proceeded to take down a top tier SOLDIER ruthlessly. And that was him after getting almost no sleep for the better part of a month.
Upon awakening (controlling his Jenova clone from a distance), his first act was to needlessly slaughter an army of SHINRA troops, and not just the ones between him and his destination, and then kill the president. The next signs of Sephiroth are when the party comes to the Midgar caves, where he had brutally impaled a Midgar Zolom on a tree. The next appearance after that is him slaughtering a good portion of the troops on the Cargo ship, and the bodies just keep piling up throughout the game.
Taking Sephiroth lightly is foolish, because he for sure isn't going to go easy, as he doesn't deem most people worth his time.
Favorite planet?
Real planet, I would say Earth. As fascinating as it is to see what life could have been on Mars, and the possibility of water on Titan (not a planet, but still interesting), the fact is there is just so much more to be found on Earth. We live on this planet, and still haven't explored a good portion of it, we have portions of the planet that inexplicably have drastically different magnetic fields than the rest of the planet. There are spots underwater where the pressure is so great, it forces Methane, which is normally a gas at those temperatures, into a solid state. There are shrimp that fire hot air from their bodies as a means of killing their prey. One of the most deadly animals on the planet is an octopus that's the size of a person's hand. This planet is completely fascinating.
Fictional planet? Faerun is my favorite. I love Marvel Earth, DC Earth, and various others, as well as Dark Sun, and some of the Star Trek/Wars planets, but Faerun will always be my favorite. I grew on Dungeons and Dragons, and have read a good many of their novels (and have started reading their comics). I started in the Forgotten Realms AD&D era, and to this day I prefer the Forgotten Realms modules over the Wizards of the Coast modules. Like the Faerun, Forgotten Realms 3.5 edition. The classes and prestige classes were so much better in my opinion, and they brought back all of my favorites, The Battleragers, Bladesingers, Buffoons, Visionaries, Breach Gnomes, and so many more, were always among my favorite classes (especially the Halfling Bard Kit/Prestige class, the Whistler).
Glad you asked btw, forgot this thread even existed. :)
