i know im a geek, but that to me, only means that i know alot about/obsess about a specific subject. i would consider myself a video game/comic book geek. i'm sure many other people on the vine know deep down, (or wherever, they always say deep down in movies, but then all they have to do is scratch the surface) that you are indeed a geek. embrace your geekiness, and use it to make you look smarter! to get girls/guys! to smash you're opponents into dust, scatter the ashes in multiple vocano's, wait for them all to epupt, collect the lava, reform them as a giant, tie them to a building and stab them with toothpicks until they are a spiky rotting pillar above a river of blood, and bathe in it! to go a little to far with you're examples!

Nerd: comic books, Star Wars, self-indulgence, design, material (fact based) science-biology, history, etc. Knows random stuff that has no purpose than to fill a nerd brain and share with non-nerds.

Geek: LARPing, Star Trek, pretensiousness, engineering, theoretical (calculation-based) science-chemistry, physics, etc. Knows practical stuff, but muddied by limited interactions with non-geeks.

Well most people I've met go by the definitions that Nerds are the ones that are more into academics, they're smarter than geeks and enjoy the thought of enhancing their knowledge they prefer science fiction based on exaggerated facts or theoretical possibilities whereas Geeks are the ones that are more interested more in Fiction that has a stronger ties to mystical reasoning (The Force). So that's one area where our definitions differ. I see Geeks as those who enjoy Star Wars and Nerds to Star Trek.

I'm not really sure whether I'm a geek or a nerd. I'm a lot of seemingly contradictory things. A social lonewolf. I'm a poet or rapper depending on the topic. I'm a gamer. I raise my hand and try to answer questions in class. I don't read the textbook(out of both being busy and being lazy) for some of the classes that I try to answer questions in Lol. I read for fun, not so much during the school year. I also play sports for fun(not so much this school year). I'm lazy but motivated and determined. I'm just trying to do the opposite of left, as long as there's the opposite of death. Yet, if you test me I just might bring the opposite of life, till there's no one the opposite of right. The concept from what I understand is that both are smart in their own rights it's just that one of the two (from my understanding nerds) also enjoy the acquisition of academic knowledge.
