Patriots. And in a rather defacing and depressing manner.

The storied defense of the Chicago Bears would be knocked back and kept their all game.

Not even just because of the high powered offense and Belichek..and clearly Tom Brady. But the sheer size and speed of the players today compared to back then.

It wouldn't be fun to watch and may make historic football fans shed a tear. You know, the ones who say, "Back in my Day".

Patriots absolutely destroy. The modern day offensive line is much more solid and honestly I can't name a better passer that performs under extreme pressure than brady, the guys simply unreal at times and I hate the patriots tbh. Not to mention their corners would get dusted literally every snap, wouldn't be much of a game other than on paper.

2000 raven's would be a better matchup

Lol what? Brady sucks under pressure. He would get slaughtered by that Bears Defensive Line. If the Giants were able to it than im pretty sure the Bears would turn him to dust

You do understand the strength and speed differences between players in the 80's and players now? It's not even close.

I'll say the Patriots. Their gameplan would be far more sophisticated than that of the Bears, plus the 46 defense was well enough figured out by '07 for the Patriots to take this game and statistically the '13 Broncos are the best offense of all time

@dalastuchihaman: Yeah, clearly the guy with the most playoff victories in NFL history, 4 Superbowl Rings, 3 Superbowl MVP awards, and is second on the list in all-time 4th quarter comebacks....clearly that guy sucks under pressure.

Edit: I now realize you meant defensive line pressure. The fact is that any quarterback is going to have a difficult time with defenders in their face. However, there is simply no competition between the physicality of today's game and football in the 80s. Athletes are simply bigger, stronger, and faster now.

'07 Patriots would win easily and still manage to cheat anyway.

Patriots would run them out the stadium.

Also, I think the 2000s Ravens Defense is the best defense of all time.

Depends on which NFL era rules are allowed. If we're talking 80's NFL, then the Bears probably beat the snot of the Patriots and win. If using today's officiating/rules then I would say the Pats should win.

@mazahs117:

Dont think that matters. The main problem here is that the Bears used an 8 man front defense. The only team that beat them that year were the Dolphins and why? Because they ran a spread offense and the 07 Patriots were the best at doing that. That right there is Chicago's main weakness and having Brady under center??? LMFAOO Patriots would demolish them. They wouldn't have anyone to cover Moss and Welker when running in the slot. I hate the Patriots but the bears stand no chance here.

  • lmao...Look at the size difference of the players in the two pictures.
  • The Patriots would win this....Their much much much much bigger and faster/Way more athletic linemen and Brady's all time great Offense would tear the 1980s Bears to pieces....
  • This would not be fun to watch, and would look like a complete and utter annihilation.
  • I agree that the 2000s Ravens would be a far better match-up.

The difference in players size and athleticism back then versus now makes this a stomp in the Pats favor. Nobody would have even the slightest chance of covering Moss deep.

@spambot: Don't quote me but I am 98% Bo and Deion weren't electronically timed. Electronically timed 40s are more accurate and notably slower. The International Association of Athletics Federations says to add 0.24 seconds to hand-timed races to convert to the probable electronic timing. That said, he was still damn fast, but I do think the game is faster today than it was back then, even if it isn't by as great a gap as some think.

Also the other reason why this is a stomp is because they are playing in the snow. If im not missing something arent the Patriots of this new age the best team to play in the snow?? Yea the Bears are doomed
