Summer 2015 - Do you really care?

Just curious as to whether people actually care about Marvel's plans for the Secret Wars/Battleworld thing Marvel has been teasing for next summer. Personally I'm interested in some of the stuff they're putting out during the course of it (Civil War, Years of Future Past etc.) but apart from a couple of those things I don't really give a crap. I'm suffering a lot from 'event fatigue' lately and I just can't motivate myself to get excited about this.

So how do other people feel about it? Are you excited for this, or are you bored of it already? Are Marvel really trying to do something big and amazing or is it a simple money-grab?

If this is the return of the Beyonder at full power, yes I'm excited. If not, I think I don't really care.

Haven't decided what to make of it yet but I am interested in some of the one-shots, at least that's what I assume they are.

Honestly not really until Marvel really tells us the point of the Battleworlds...

At first I was excited to see what next spring and summers events are about, but I am rather disappointed with Axis. So based on my current disappointment I am not so sure I care about any Marvel event at the moment.

The last Marvel event I purchased was AvX. What a disappointment. Not wasting my money on badly written events purely designed as money grabbers.

@magnetic_eye: All events are money grabbers aren't they? Although I'm not sure how you can know that Secret Wars is going to be badly written, or why you're judging all events by the standards of AvX

Not judging all events by the standards of AvX at all. Just said it was last event I purchased. I have purchased events prior to AvX and have read events since then.

I will follow the outcome on forums and sites but I won't collect the event. I may pick up a few titles after the outcome to see how they have been changed. The art by Ribic will be hard to pass up but the inevitable collection is what I will invest in for that.

It's the first Marvel event in years I have even the remotest interest in.

I'll keep up with the storyline as best I can without buying anything. I'm still too angry at Marvel for neutering Thor to give them any money.

I haven't paid for a Marvel event in years, I usually just read 'em in the store, and in the mornings I can just read the Spidey dailies for free online

I'm curious about some of the events (like how Future Imperfect, X-Men '92 and Renew Your Vows will go down) but I'm going to get feedback from forums first before I buy any of 'em

I'm pumped for this event.

I'm excited but only because I'm a nerd for alternate timelines (Marvel, if you're reading this, bring back "What If...?")

Also, while DC can't wait for their next editorial reboot, I wouldn't mind Marvel giving it a shot as half the flagship heroes in the Marvel U are responsible for the destruction of multiple planets at this point.

If that's what they're playing at, then fine by me.

I am curious about the Black Vortex event and to see what Thane is really capable of. Beyond that not so much.

The last event I got was Infinity. I loved it. I just stopped buying comics because college!

This. Marvel might be going overboard on the events lately but Infinity was fantastic. I have a feeling Secret Wars will be just as good

I could careless. Just leave my Daredevil comics alone and I'm good.

Oh and also bring the Fantastic Four back.
