Jeremy Renner Shows Off New Hawkeye Costume and 'Civil War' Alligiance

We know Captain America: Civil War is packed with pretty much everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We also can assume some time will have passed since Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. It's been long confirmed that Jeremy Renner will be appearing once again as Hawkeye. Today he took to Twitter to show off his new costume.

It's not too different but it does have more of his comic book counterpart's purple.

Renner mentions brining a "friend." From this we can assume they'll be on the same side in Civil War. And, minor spoiler if you haven't seen Ant-Man yet...

We can safely assume Scott Lang will be siding with Captain America after being recruited by Sam Wilson. That would lead us to believe that Clint Barton will also be on Cap's side. Not really a surprise if true.

Awesome, his best so far I would say. I'm eager to learn which side Vision picks.

So it looks like we may get hawkeye shooting an arrow with ant man on it, need to find that gif from Avengers earths mightiest heroes!!!!

When he recovered is original costume in the costume ?

Because since then he is no longer Hawkeye super heroe, but Clint Barton the generic blacks OPS.

@kfabz-23: first off im not making this Marvel vs DC. i am simply stipulating that when it comes to hype and ticket sales it appears Marvel will have big numbers compared to DCs which i do not think will be as big. i did not say Batman vs Superman will suck because i dont think it will. what i think is DC is doing a crappy job of handling their movies.

now on a more serious note...

the last guy that told me not to do something on resulted in me doing it everywhere just to spite him. let me handle my comments and you handle yours. now if you had worded it as a question like "Hey dude are you making this a Marvel vs DC thing? because i dont think we should do that" then i would have responded similar to the way i did above.

@feartheliving: I thought it was fake too, the faces looked like they were cropped from other concept art. Plus, T'Challa is supposed to be neutral in this conflict, not on Tony's team according to Feige. Still, the possibility of an Ant Man arrow combo is just too good to not get excited about.

Feels more classic except the colour.

The costume is good except for making the left arm short sleeved. Everything else will be nice and warm but the bicep and tricep will be cold. Plus it looks kind of lame with a long sleeve and a short sleeve.

@serrure: Dude, I'm definitely a Marvel guy first. But there is NO way BvS doesn't make a shit ton of money, maybe more then Civil War. My money be on Civil War being better, but BvS may make more money.

I think BvS will make more but not that is matters, I think it'll be the best comic movie next year. I'm sure CW will be good but thing is Bats and Supes in a movie, after 70 years+ period....can't beat that.

Regarding the costume, why is Marvel so anti-mask? lol First wolverine, now Hawkeye...I'm sorry but he just looks dumb without some kind of mask. Even GA on Smallville with a crap ton smaller budget looked better with tech shades and a hoody, then a mask in the comic.

This is the closest to his classic costume yet so what the hell do you man generic? Or do you honeslt expect him to wear scalemail and eyeflaps in a live action movie?

I love the classic costume in the comics and the cartoon but it just wouldn't look right in live action without some serious tweaking. I like how they're meshing the more modern spec ops look he's sported with the classic one sleeve purple one from the comics.

It's a nod to his Heroic Age costume, and a few of the other variants he's had that make his right arm stand out.

Can we at least get a reference to the classic mask? I know Renner said it's not happening, but that's like the only thing I want from Hawkeye.
