Pretty much the title. We were quick to hate goku for deeming the multiverse to be destroyed when in reality he saves 1 specific universe.
Only 8/12 universes will be fighting in it as the other 4 are exempt for their mortality rating being 7/10.

that's a good thing ? 7 universes would still be destroyed you know.
@kyrees: you're right about goku giving him a perfect oppurtunity to do it, but the fate of the universes were inevitable.
Toriyama doesnt have enough balls to go through with the universal destruction though :D
we have gods of destructions doing their jobs; not really that inevitable especially with beerus's temperament
yep, i would bet on that.
@wolfrazer: Speculation. I didn't bring it up in this thread as i hadn't even though about it yet.
@wolfrazer: it say's "mortality" not "morality" lmao :P
@lawz: how many times are people gonna say he forgot the ribbon? It was Roshi who forgot that
So goku wanting to fight seems to have saved the universe. Funnily enough, he didn't intend this any more than he intended the destruction of losing universes.
Goku attitude toward the universe being destroy and how annoying he was in the black arc are still not excused.
There's really nothing goku could of done to change zeno's mind..
How annoying he was in the black arc?
He saved everybody.
Don't get it twisted, Roshi ( as before mentioned) was the one who forgot to give the ribbon

Ofcourse, if goku knew this was going to happen you think he'd risk it? Goku lost it at the thought of chi-chi/goten dying.
@lpnq: he wouldn't. Plain and simple.

How they play off that scene, it seems like it was Goku fault with Piccolo calling Goku an idiot, and not to mention all his jokes are basically he dumb hahahaha, not funny. The fact that his attitude on the universe possibly being destroyed underwhelming, and the fact that honestly his character has not been developed since 23th budokai unless you count the funi original dub which actually makes him act like a god damn adult instead of regressing to a kid with that annoying kid voice. Yes I know Goku supposed to be a selfish kid, but honestly I just don't like that Goku, because the fact that he can't tell the universe possible being destroyed is a big deal is just irritating, and I hope he lose this tournament so he can see oh crap, they going to destroy the god damn universe.
The point is, people just don't like Goku, and the unfunny jokes in the black arc like haha he forgot senzu bean that funny hahaha, now let add Jar jar bink to show how funny it is.

seems legit

Wrong. Roshi calls Goku an idiot in the scene they realize they don't have it.
@lawz: no, that was piccolo calling Roshi an idiot
Seriously, rewatch the scene where Goku learns the mafuba
Roshi tells Goku he's going to put the talisman on the jar, then it skips to the morning time with Roshi seeing Goku off

Honestly look like Piccolo is calling Goku an idiot, and does not change the fact that Goku did not double check for the talisman. Either way that scene was stupid, and a horrible joke.
Not to mention Roshi say he forgot something implying is Goku fault, which given the fact he forgot the Senzu bean, unfortunately is in character in this arc bc Goku stupid is funny funny.
@jgames: except why would he double check for something when he most likely doesn't know what it actually looks like?
Seriously, with that, might as well blame everybody for not double checking (with Roshi taking the main blame since he said he was going to put the talisman on only to proceed NOT to)
There's things that Goku forgot in the last arc, the talisman wasn't one of them, that was on Roshi

Again I did rewatch the scene IDK what to say, it looks like it was Goku fault. They must have done a terrible job if it was supposed to be Master Roshi fault, which to be fair would not surprised me XD.
@lawz: you’re overstating Gokus responsibility for the erasure of Trunks timeline, it was both the doing of Merged Zamasu and Zeno.
Goku is completely exculpated Given he through pure altruism decided to combat Black and Zamasu, it’s not his job.
Nice entitled attitude lol
