I would like to know what was your first ever comic book? Mine was Mirages Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro-Series Donatello #1
Your First Comic
@tikhunt: oh that's a good one, I'm guessing u just got into comics.
@turtlepower4: I was always a big fan and have read some trades but never bought a comic before a few months back.
@tikhunt: oh, I also started with trades to when I was younger.
Ive read trades and graphic novels for a couple years but my first single ish was actually Iron Man #4 Marvel NOW.
Yep, I'm a bit of a newb. Ive sort of just read anything I could get my hands on since then to figure out what I like. I've found myself moving further and further from the more popular and conventional superheroes from the big 2. I've kind of gotten exhausted with how overexposed some of my favorite characters are. It's hard to keep track of everything going on with Bats. I could spend close to 30 or 40 bucks just trying to keep up with all of Batman's adventures each month, and if I did that it wouldn't allow me to check out any others. It's definitely a hobby that really hurts your wallet.
my godmother gave me a box of comics including: the first class vs sauron (two issues), cap vs punisher, x-men team of havok, storm, rogue , dazzler, wolverine, and colossus, fight a few aliens, and spider-man teaming up with daredevil to fight the masked marauder . those were my first comics
First comics I read were some collections I found at the public library. These below are pretty much why I'm a comics fan. Well these, and Calvin & Hobbes.
The first issue of ghost rider, asm 300 with venom, every issue of legends of the dark knight, and killing joke all in the order listed. Too lazy to put up pictures
Some Essential X-Men issue that had both parts of Claremont's X-Treme X-Men and Morrison's HCT. I was so blessed.
Justice League #1 (new 52). I saw that new 52 was all about a jumping on point for new comic book readers so that's what I did. I guess the new 52 idea worked (for me anyway). Good creative team as well Geoff Johns and Jim Lee.
Hmm... I can't really remember the first comic I read. I've been reading trades and graphic novels from libraries for a few years since there wasn't a comic shop in my area that I was aware of until about a year ago, so I'm still pretty new compared to most. But, the first one I actually bought was Marvel NOW Captain America #1.
I can't find the picture but it was a TMNT comic. Black and White. It was a weird story about separate dreams they had.
Leo was in High School with an Evil Teacher.
Ralph was locked in battle with A Man Who Could Not Die
Mikey was a RockStar fighting a SpeakerMonster
and I don't remember Donnie's dream/story.
( + )
@sagejonathan: awesome first comic book I've read that and Thor vs SS = epic
My first one? I would say some of those Pokemon comics they use to sell in stores back in the late '90's. But I usually consider my first actual real comic book I read would of been my brother's Spawn #100. The first one I bought myself would of been one of the Spider-Girl books.
