Respect for Kaldur'ahm, my favorite character from the Young Justice series. He's the kind of leader I'd like to be: calm, collected, respectful and respected, and always the logical thinker. He's also got one of the most unique weapons out there, his Water-Bearers and Water Pack.
This thread will be divided into the following sections:
- Atlantean Sorcery
- Atlantean Attributes
- Strength
- Speed
- Pain Tolerance/Endurance
- Gear
Atlantean Sorcery
Aqualad studied for a year at the Conservatory of Sorcery at Atlantis. The mystic arts he learned there created his skin icons that power his water bearers, allowing for his water and electricity manipulation.
Hydrokinesis
Aqualad has the ability to manipulate water in any shape he desires to suit his needs. He uses his Water-Bearers on his back to help him when he manipulates sources of water.
Aqualad uses the water from a water main to blast a continuous jet at Mammoth and hold him at bay:
Aqualad uses all the water from the glasses of gathered leaders in the conference room and creates a large wall to act as a shield against the bomb Cheshire was trying to set off. The bomb had the power to completely wipe out the room and kill everyone inside but Aqualad was able to keep his water wall sustained and protect the people behind him. This was done with great strain:
With the water from the sprinkler system in the ceiling, Aqualad is able to create a large snake capable of mowing down and charging right through enemy soldiers:
Aqualad uses his water whips to connect with the Arctic Ocean, allowing him to gather water under an alien ship and lift it up. He then uses his Hydrokinesis to freeze the surrounding water into icicles and ram them into the ship, destroying it (originally posted by @arcus1):
Aided by the water of the ocean, Aqualad creates a huge Serpent to take out enemies drones (gif originally posted by @arcus1):
With an available water source behind him, Aqualad creates a large serpent that takes out Nightwing and Artemis (gif originally posted by @arcus1):
Aqualad raises up a spiral column of water to block Black Manta's lasers:
With enough available water, Aqualad is able to create a large fist larger than Black Manta:
Aqualad creates a stream of water to raise him up in the air, propel him towards Black Manta, and then re-shape the stream of water into 4 smaller snakes:
Aqualad summons water from the bathroom under the floor he was on to attack Hook:
Aqualad creates a large column of water to raise himself to a building's roof, at least two stories, and carries down two scientists on it. He performed this with the aid of a firefighter hose. Skip to 10:26 -

Water Constructs
Aqualad can do more than just manipulate water, he can also give it shape and form, creating constructs capable of doing physical damage. He uses the Water-Bearers on his back to act as a medium for where the construct begins.
Here Aqualad creates two maces and after they are frozen by Killer Frost, he uses the now-frozen clubs to knock her out. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 1)
Here he creates a large hammer and sends Superboy flying back:
Aqualad creates a whip to grab hold of Blockbuster's arm and pull himself towards the beast:
Aqualad takes out Cult of the Kobra members with his water whip. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 4)
Aqualad destroys a cannon with his water whip:
Even while having his face palmed like a basketball by Blockbuster, Aqualad is still able to create a small shield in order to block his punches from the other hand. The shield takes four punches before being dissolved, despite Blockbuster still being able to shake pillars with these types of punches. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 2)
He can also block bullets with his shields. He also creates a water shooter out of his other Water-Bearer to take out his assailants. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 4)
His shield would later be able to defend against Black Manta's lasers and he could quickly change from shield to sword and back to shield again in time to block Manta's blasts:
Here he creates two maces attached to a rope of water and uses them both as a bludgeoning weapon and like a whip (originally posted by @arcus1):
Aqualad seamlessly transitions between fighting Manta soldiers with a whip, a mace, and a shield. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 8)
Here he creates a pair of swords:
Here he creates an enlarged single sword:
Here he creates a pair of large hammers:
Electricity Generation
Aqualad can create electricity from the eel tattoos on his arms and can either apply it directly through his arms or run it through water that he manipulates.
Here he grabs Superboy in a arm lock and shocks him with electricity:
Aqualad shocks the Guardian while being pressured in hand-to-hand. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 1)
After laying down water on the ground, Aqualad uses his electricity powers to shock the water and Blockbuster in it. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 2)
Aqualad knocks out a Cult of the Kobra member by merely touching him:
Aqualad runs electricity through a ship anchor he stabbed into Mister Twister and causes an explosion:
Aqualad adds a charge of electricity to the jet of water he was firing at Mammoth, knocking him out:
Aqualad shocks Blue Beetle and burns through the Scarab armor to his skin:
Aqualad shocks Hook and Black Spider through his Water-Bearers:
Atlantean Attributes
Since Aqualad is an Atlantean, he is naturally gifted with certain attributes that all Atlanteans are born with. One of the most notable and famous attribute is gills, giving Aqualad the ability to breath underwater for unlimited periods of time.
Another attribute is a high resistance to cold temperatures. Aqualad has swam in the freezing cold waters of the Arctic Ocean without any sort of warm wear and wasn't at all affected, been topside on the Arctic surface without anything warm to wear and wasn't affected at all, and seemed perfectly fine being near Killer Frost's Ice blasts and having his weapons frozen by her powers. A drawback to this is that he is susceptible to high temperatures, but not so much as his teammate Miss Martian.
Atlanteans are also physically stronger than humans. Aqualad is no exception, exchanging blows with Kryptonians like Superboy and being able to take hits from enemies stronger than his Kryptonian teammate. During one of his fights with Cheshire he was pierced by three shuriken yet shrugged it, telling the assassin that "Atlantean skin is quite dense."
His last attribute isn't something every Atlantean shares, but Aqualad has shown resistance to certain toxins, such as when he was able to shrug off poisoned shuriken and continue to fight her. When she notices that he is being hindered by the poison, Aqualad tells her that he is largely immune to jelly-fish toxin (some jelly-fish are so toxic they can kill a human within an hour of being stung). Here's the whole episode where it happens, skip to 10:42 to watch the start of the fight:

Aqualad uses his Water Swords to cut up more large pieces of rock debris after Red Volcano threw them at the Team. - (Young Justice, Season 1 Episode 15)

Aqualad then dodges Black Manta's blasts:
Aqualad is able to summon water from a water fountain in time to crate a shield and defend against Hook's launched hook:

Gear
Water-Bearers
These two handles allow Aqualad to manipulate water easier and can act as a medium for his electrical attacks, channeling them into the handles themselves or into the water he manipulates:
Water Pack
Aqualad carries a pack on his back that houses a fairy decent amount of water to help him hydrate and to make sure he always has some water with him, even fighting away from an external water source:
Stealth Armor Option
When a mission requires stealth, Aqualad has a feature on his outfit that allows him to change colors to jet black, making visibility harder and allowing him to sneak around much more effectively. He has need to only press the "A" on his belt to activate this:
Manta Armor
While he was undercover as a member of the Light and partner to his biological father, Aqualad wore armor similar to Black Manta, giving him an increase in strength and durability.
NOTE: Not his standard gear. Only worn while undercover and stopped after he came back.
Since it's pretty much the same armor Black Manta wears, Aqualad can shoot off the same energy beams his father can:
Aqualad blows back Aquaman with an energy blast:
This was also equipped with at least one mini-rocket:
