Would Watchmen have been as good if Grant Morrison wrote it?

Morrison wouldnt have improved it. Hes better suited to sci fi themes than grittier dark stories. Hes written " dark stories" and while they are good they are not as good as Moore's masterpieces. Morrison's sci fi comics are better

It still would've been good, but it definitely wouldn't have been better. No one on Earth thinks like Alan does.

I don't find his writing particularly great, Moore did just fine.

As much as I like Morrison, and while I think he could have done something interesting with the characters and setting, it would not have been on the level of what Moore did. So, I guess worse, but simply because it is hard to really compare anything to something like that. Both great writers in their own right with certain characters though.

Morrison does whimsical fantasy better while Moore does grim dark much better. I don't think Morrison could have such a thorough dark deconstruction that Watchmen is.
