Worst casting in DCEU?
None of the above. There are no bad castings, only bad portrayals.
The two aren't mutually exclusive. If Morgan Freeman were cast as Wonder Woman, he would give a bad portrayal and that would be bad casting.
Lets see here.
Zuckerberg? Bad casting? Check.
Ezra Miller? Bad casting? Check.
Jason Momoa? Bad casting? Check.
Gal Gadot? Bad casting? Check.
Jared Leto? Bad casting? Check.
So overall the DCEU is 5 in the bad casting department.
Congrats.
@rogueshadow: I'm speaking on this case though.
All of the above
Get out.
@hyiena: @ready_4_madness: Maybe some people have access to Flux Capacitors and have time traveled....
...or could just be really strong with the Force
@nerevarine_11: how can you judge Jason and Ezra already though. All Jason has said so far is "talk". And we've barely seen Flash.
Jason can't act for shit. Ezra has neither the aesthetic to play Flash and is basically going to be in a movie where he either plays Wally in personality or a mixture of Barry/Wally.
Doesn't help the Flash movie lost 2 directors in the same year.
First off, it's way too early to judge Miller, Mamoa, or Gadot. We've only seen about 15 minutes of Gadot, 1 of Miller, and maybe 10 seconds of Mamoa.
Second, Eisenberg. He wasn't a good Lex Luthor at all.
Third, I actually think Leto was a fantastic Joker. Not as good as Ledger or Nicholson, but still pretty good.

Neither does Grant Gustin though :/
Anyways, I don't think any casting was inherently "bad".......Jesse as Lex was an adaptation that didn't immediately scream Lex, mostly because of the hair initially, but I don't think Lex is really defined by his bodily physicality. Besides the outward appearance, which was mostly remedied by the loss of hair, Jesse would've nailed Lex if he wasn't told to portray him as a spazz at times.
Ezra is a better actor than Grant Gustin, who's portrayal as Flash can be summed up by being incompetent, moping, quirkiness. That shouldn't be hard to top.
I honestly don't like Jason Mamoa as Aquaman...it could've been fine if they played him as Aquaman, but judging from the JL trailer, he's gonna be more Conan/Drogo with a mix of kingliness, than the straight up royal Aquaman......that being said, I only have a passing knowledge of Aquaman...and, hey, I might like Mamoaman
Gal Gadot is good....I never really cared about her frame since I don't think it's important.
Jared Leto was a GREAT casting choice, that was HORRIBLY handled. The questionable appearance is a minor nuisance compared to the fact that he clearly loved Harley Quinn.
@nerevarine_11: Lmao
Jesse. The only bad casting in DCEU, IMO.
And Jared

And Jared
Nah. Haven't seen enough of him, tbh.
@rbt: I felt like I was watching someone doing a Jim Carrey impression the entire time he was onscreen
Saying that Jason and Ezra are bad casting when they've hardly any screen time whatsoever is jumping the gun. We might as well say Josh Brolin is a terrible casting for Thanos. All we've seen is a bit of monologue from him, but ya know, terrible casting.

There was one part where his acting felt forced. The club scene. But apart from that, he looked good. I mean, when he was convincing Harley to take a dive, that looked great.
I think half the people who hate him, hate him because he is nothing like Ledger's Joker.
While I enjoyed parts of Jesse's performance, he was still a really, really bad pick for Lex Luthor. Everyone else can at least be a passable representation of their comic counterpart with Momoa being more like the Peter Davids' Aquaman and Ezra looking about as much like the Flash as Gustin does (Why can't Hollywood at least dye their hair or SOMETHING?).
But Jesse? He was doomed from the start. He's a short, skinny guy with wild, messy hair and a boyish face trying to live up to a tall, muscular businessman who exudes an evil charisma with every word. At that point they should have just invented a new character rather than plaster this new character over Lex Luthor.
It is part of my biggest frustration with Hollywood in general. This idea that you can't make a pure adaptation anymore. Everything needs a "new interpretation" so the director can feel like he's being artsy with it. Altering small bits of a character to fit the cinematic narrative is fine, but if you find yourself radically altering a character to the point they aren't even recognizable for what they were supposed to be just STOP.

Performance wise, definitely Eisenberg, with Leto Joker in a close second. I defended Eisenberg all the way to release, but what the hell even was that?
@digitalshooter9: Nah. Don't act so butthurt over a opinion.
The girl who played Harley Quinn has to be the worst acting i have ever seen and incredibly forced.
She was the best part of the movie!
Jessie Eisenberg and Will Smith. The rest remain to be seen.
Why him?

He played a white character and then proceeded to suck at it. Will Smith played Will Smith, as he always does. I'm surprised he didn't shoehorn one of his ugly kids into the film, unless i'm forgetting...
Leto Joker,a shit ton of hype surrounded him, trailers suggest he was the main villain, and the portrayal had me wish someone would just have killed him rather than make us see more of this Justin Bieber edition Joker. So not only was the casting and character wrong, it was ultimately wasted as a side-story... so stinks more than a little of just being bait to the general audience than being a core part of the movie.

Eisenberg with Leto being a damn close runner up.
