Will Frank Miller ever redeem himself?

Frank Miller's recent comics, namely ASBAR and Holy Terror, have been either really bad, or putrid. But do you think he'll ever redeem himself again? Will he ever return to the days of Sin City and Batman: Year One?

He doesn't need to redeem himself. He is one of the best comic writers ever, period. All star and holy terror aren't bad, they're just offensive and not meant to be taken seriously.

Just because he has written some good things doesn't mean he gets a pass for the atrocious bad things.

Frank Miller sucks Batman's *** harder than any writer I have ever seen in my life. And Holy Terror just proved he is an Islamaphobic piece of trash.

He doesn't have to "redeem himself" for writing comics you don't like, especially after Year One, DKR, and Daredevil.

Oh, is Holy Terror that offensive? I've been meaning to read it, because I thought it was a good concept. I however knew it had to be handled delicately.

EDIT: Also, Miller's earlier work (probably) absolves him from anything else.

I already believe he's the best Batman writer. Will he get back to his old days, no, but he doesn't have to. His Batman and Daredevil beat out almost everything.

His Daredevil run already put him so highly he has nothing to redeem himself from.

ISIS is an unrecognized state and terrorist group they don't represent Islam, that's like saying the Ku Klux Klan represents Christianity

The people claiming he is one of the greatest are just ignoring what they don't want to acknowledge. Miller used to be great. Not anymore.

You can say what you will about his writing, but his artwork is something he can never be redeemed for.

it's not just the offensive subject matter, it's also the fact that Holy terror is a shockingly terrible comic and even if it wasn't supposed to be taken seriously( which I'm pretty sure it was since Frank described it as a piece of propaganda which only works if you take it seriously) That doesn't make it any better.

@lensnart: well if you think its terrible than fine, but Miller is not bad because of the offensive stuff. Every writer has some work that isn't that good.

The bad stuff by Miller is more than just "Eh, he's wrote better than this." Miller's "bad" goes beyond that. It goes into offensive, writer wanking, and love letter writing. And if you pretend its not a big deal you are probably willingly ignoring.
