Seriously he has decades of feats yet there are no Charles respect thread. Why?
Why is there no Professor X respect thread?
@darth_wayne: Because Respect Threads are usually all about power feats while Professor is all about making world better by helping mutants but not beating up bad guys.
@krleavenger: He is also the second (or third) most powerful telepathy in the world. I'm sure there are a plethora of feats showing so (KMC even made one).
@darth_wayne: If he is second/third who is above him?
@krleavenger: Shaman and any Phoenix user.
@darth_wayne: Well if you want to use Phoenix you also have Franklin Richards and Mathew Malloy who are reality warpers and can make themselfs more powerful telepaths,so if you remove those kind of Power Houses I will say he is the second.
@krleavenger: Even worse, the second most powerful telepath (and one of the oldest X-Men) doesn't have a feats thread.
@darth_wayne: Well Iron-man didn't had respect thread until 2014 and Vine started when,like 2008? Anyway,why don't you just make one?
@krleavenger: Really? 2014? Wow. I would but I only have the current issues so it would be incomplete.
@darth_wayne: Maybe there are some CaVs with Professor X or some fights where someone posted his feats so you can search.
@dawnone: Do it.
@krleavenger: There's none.
@krleavenger: There's none.
@darth_wayne: I can't believe there is none (as you said) so I posted that image.
@krleavenger: Lol, I thought you were talking about me. There might be a tourney with him but you can't search for those easily.
@krleavenger: Lol, I thought you were talking about me.
No no I didn't.
There might be a tourney with him but you can't search for those easily.
Indeed.
People tend to create respect threads for the characters they are really attached to, in a power fantasy projection sort of way. A lot of fans are fans of characters because of hyperbole, hyperbolic statements, win loss records, what would happen if they really cut lose… stopped holding back… got angry or pissed off enough… how smart they are, intelligent, how so many woman love them, martial arts skill, etc etc etc
Xavier is an over middle aged, balding man in a wheelchair, who isn't really the best anything in the eyes of many. I mean, he is a fairly powerful telepath, but there are plenty of other younger looking, "cooler", more powerful, telepaths out there. Usually when I see people talking about Xavier, its those silly fans who like plot and motivations and character development and silly junk like that. I mean this comment is an oversimplification and generalization too, on sites more X-Men orientated there are probably Xavier Respect threads and I am pretty sure CV will have some, just they won't be as popular or common as Superman, Hulk, Batman, Thor, Goku, Surfer threads.
This is an excellent question. Professor X is like...the beacon of Marvel Morality. Or at least he was for decades. He didn't mind getting his metaphorical hands dirty either when necessary, and neither was he perfect. I personally feel like he was the first central figure that Marvel came out with who had sophisticated flaws that made him more human.
I once found a respect thread on reddit. But it wasn't as long as I expected it to be. It should have had things about his intellect as well but mostly just a few of his feats regarding telepathy though not many compared to most respect threads.
Most of his feats Come from through Statements. Power Scaling or Cerebro its kinda hard to Quantify Mind Wamming on Inconsistent Telepaths Looks at Psylock*
Xavier is a cool character but he's also a jobber. Real reason is because he's not popular enough. Wait until he gets crammed in the MCU, you'll get a thousand MCU Xavier thread spammers because that's the only thing comic related most people on vs forums seem to care about
@supermanfan1938: @speedforceoberon: @baph: @segamarvel: @comic_book_fan: @jamiewolfe7: @sc: @dawnone: @krleavenger: @masterkungfu: @darth_wayne: It is still a work in progress, but there seems to be an almost complete Charles Xavier respect thread.
