Why Broly is the most powerful Saiyan

I don't think Broly could beat current Goku, or even current Vegeta, but I do think Broly is more powerful. Here is how I see it:

Goku and the other Saiyans were not born powerful. Goku even after becoming the strongest on Earth was still nothing compared to Raditz, who was nothing compared to Vegeta. The only reason Goku is as strong as he is is because of the plot and because of all his training. Without that he'd be a below average Saiyan. You can't use the "He's a God, he's the strongest." argument either because any pure blooded Saiyan can become a God in the right situation.

Broly is different because he didn't have to work for his power like the other Saiyans. He was born powerful and got very little training. He also has unlimited energy in his LSSJ form, making his power limitless. He can become as strong as he needs to be just by being Broly. Any Saiyan can be a God, but only Broly can be the Legendary Super Saiyan. Everyone else has to train and train just to survive but Broly's awesome power comes naturally, making him superior even if he isn't technically as strong.

I'm not saying Broly is the strongest Saiyan I'm just saying he's the most powerful in the sense that his power comes naturally rather than being worked for. He doesn't have to devote his life to combat like Goku or work out in a gravity chamber like Vegeta. He's just powerful...

In my opinion.. Broly is the most powerful character in DBZ period ! All 3 of his defeats were PIS to the fullest ! He destroyed Galaxies for fun ! Not just planets ! Whole Galaxies on one blast ! Broly is the end all be all in DBZ !

Remember that one time Broly was actually defeated in a way that makes sense? No? Neither do I!

No, Toriyama wanted Gohan to take over for Goku. That's why everything wrapped up at the end of the Cell Saga with Gohan left in the position to be Earth's Champion. It was the Japanese Fans that couldn't accept this and urged him to continue writing. That's why we got the Buu saga.

Super Saiyan God Goku is currently the strongest Saiyan.

But what's interesting is SSG Goku got wooped by Bills who used only 70% of his power.

And Bills is the weakest out of the 12 gods.

He has limitless power and gets stronger all the time. Broly gets stronger while he's fighting whereas Goku gets stronger after losing and getting more training. Broly has far more potential power. Also Broly's 3 loses were simply PIS and made little sense.

That doesn't make him superior as a fighter, that's just genes. Goku beat Frieza, despite Frieza naturally having power.

...Eh. Broly... is for lack of a better word... overrated. He is powerful, but with the whole limitless thing... that really has nothing to back it up. Goku is, and possibly always will be, the most powerful.

Broly is all power no technique. He was the brutal honesty about the super sayein. It is just a berserker mode when achieving ultimate rage not a noble blessing that is earn by being pure of heart.

He is at Super Sayein 2 with the bulky handicap. He just takes the hits and does not put the mind to dodge. His deadly energy attack just basic ki blasts because he is all power no technique He just wants to destroy simple as that. He is just a petty brute with all that power and that is his charm because he is simplistic.

Vegeta fears the monster of the legend that he thrived to be. Broly just wants to kill Goku to stop the crying and he just wants everything go boom because he likes fireworks.

Broly is around Perfect Cell level, no more. The ones who say he is the strongest saiyan are wanking him really hard.

LSSJ Broly is definitely stronger than Perfect Cell, it can be proved . The first Broly Movie plays in the days before the Cell Games with Future Trunks and Teen Gohan as Super Saiyans, so there isn´t another time option for them to go to "New Vegeta". Kakarott should have got the same strength vs LSSJ Broly as he has against Perfect Cell after his training in the Time Chamber. Now to the point : In the fight vs LSSJ Broly , SSJ Kakarott fires up a serious Kamehame-Ha right into Broly face - without any effect on him. Now we look at the Warp-Kamehame-Ha vs Perfect Cell . He is seriously damaged ! The intensity of both Kamehame-Has from Kakarott is quite identical so I think both actions can be compared with each other and as I said, Kakarott isn´t much stronger vs Perfect Cell as he was vs LSSJ Broly. I know that many people are out there who say that the movies are non-cannon but as long as there is a posibility(!), that the movie actions aren´t too unlogical to the series I think that we can at least talk about that. In the end its logical to think that the strength of LSSJ Broly is between a SSJ2 and SSJ3 , because he owns an untrained SS2 Gohan with ease in the second movie, but isn´t able to withstand the combined force of neither Kakarotts collected power in Movie 1 nor the added power of Kakarotts family.

When did he say that? You seem to be wanking Broly hard. Buuhan and Kid Buu would stomp Broly. Bills would obviously stomp. I doubt Broly could beat any of the current Z fighters going SSJ2.

I don't think that's true.

That would mean that he is above Majin Buu. Buu was a character capable of beating up some fused and powered up characters like Gotenks . He also gave a hell of a fight to a SSJ 3 Goku, CURBSTOMPED Vegeta, twice. Killed all the population on Earth and destroyed a bunch of planetas (including Earth) without effort.

Broly was killed by a weakened SSJ 1 Gohan, Goten and Trunks.

I say it again, Broly is around Perfect Cell (maybe a little bit weaker). He is not even a match for a SSJ2.

@perethorn: Broly was only defeated by the punch in the first movie because it was directly to the spot where he was stabbed as a child. The second defeat, his death, was PIS.

@perethorn: You are wrong. Gohan is a SSJ 2 in the second Broly movie and LSSJ Broly beats hom down easily. Of course, SSJ 2 Gohan isn´t that good anymore, but LSSJ Broly really has NO REAL problems at all beating him. He just lost to the 3 Sons ( Gohan, Goten, Trunks) because he underestimated the combined power of the 3. Thats the same reason he lost to Kakarott in Broly Movie 1 and the collected power Kakarott gathered. Hand to hand LSSJ Broly owned everybody, when there´s no assist fighter. Like I said, LSSJ Broly is at the strength of a Semi powered SSJ 3 or double powered SSJ2. 2,5. Again : Kakarott has the same strength vs LSSJ Broly as against Perfect Cell. Against Broly he had no chance. Vs Perfect Cell he had a little. So LSSJ Broly HAS to be stronger and powerful as a SSJ 2.

I watched the first movie just again. This energy channeling is totally bullshit. Kakarott has absolutely NO chance defeating LSSJ Broly, could`n t even scratch him and with Vegetas channeled non-SSJ-energy, who had NO the chance against the "normal" SSJ1 Broly AS SSJ1 , as well as from the other saiyans WITHOUT SSJ-energy ( so the charge coudn´t do THAT much to Kakarott), Kakarott got as strong as a Super Saiyan God ( as it seems ) . It cannot be understanded.

I honestly can't see the logic in the post. SSG? Why'd anyone bring that in? SSJ2 gohan could have solo'd the entire BLSS cast put together..

Because Kakarott is charged up by the others but without SSJ energy ( only the rest! of their normal powers ) - its absolutely unlogical that Kakarotts power level increased that much from the very beaten characters. For me the end of the battle was like " Oh shit, we made Broly too strong and forgot, that Good always has to beat evil... now we have to think of something very fast because we have nearly no time left " . Thats how it looks.

Broly had the potential of becoming the most powerful saiyan, much like how anakin has the potential of becoming the most powerful jedi. Since Broly died he was never able to reach his full power and become the strongest saiyan.

Muhahaha... Muhahahaha! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

That moment you realise Broly is hulk with saiyan powers.
