Just what the title says.
Who was the worst writer to handle your favourite character
Joker - Scott Snyder
Deadpool - Daniel Way
Teen Titans - Scott Lobdell
Catwoman - Anne Nocenti
Wolverine - Jeph Loeb
I could probably go on all night, but those are the ones that immediately jump to mind.
Agent Venom only hand Remender and Bunn, both did a great job. Kaine only had Yost, and he was awesome as well.
Spider-Man, however, has had quite a few. And Jason Aaron's Hulk run left me sad.
@juiceboks: Preach.
Geoff Johns- Batman
This answer is the winner!
Jeph Loeb for everything.
Loeb actually made some really good Batman stories. So he isn't all bad.
Ultimate Marvel Universe-Jeph Loeb.
Hell anything I like that Jeph Loeb writes is full of suck and stupidity.

That's the Jeph Loeb way!
@wolverine08: Indeed. And rather then can him they put him in charge of cartoons and such.
You wonder why DC animated blows Marvel's stuff out of the water? I don't.
I don't really have a favorite character but Deadpool by Daniel Way was god awful.
The sad part? That's the Deadpool that pop culture took notice of.
I'm surprised about the lack of Matt Fraction.
Dan Jurgens for Iron Fist in his 1998 miniseries. A close 2nd is Matt Fraction for every Iron Fist he's written.
I'm surprised about the lack of Matt Fraction.
Because of Hawkeye, everybody loves Fraction now.
Beechen - Cassie Cain
I came into this thread just to say this, but I'm glad that you said it first. I'm not alone here ;D

Jeph Loeb for everything.
Why does everybody hate Loeb now? I'm not meaning to single you guys out, I'm just saying in general there's allot of hate for the guy. Sure, his Ultimates was cr@p, but he's done allot of great stories before that...

His two passable stories are Hush and Long Halloween, he pretty much single handedly destroyed the Ultimate Universe with his stories, had a horrible Wolverine run that went against everything Wolverine is, had an extremely poorly written Red Hulk series where Rulk was using Thor's hammer to beat him up, had another extremely inconsistent series with Batman/Superman, and is overall just an extremely inconsistent writer.

Ah, I see. I honestly haven't read any of his Wolverine, Red Hulk, or Superman/Batman, so I'll have to take your word for it. I thought the general reception to his Superman/Batman series was positive though.
However, he has done many great stories other than Hush and Long Halloween.

Would Nolan's Batman exist without Loeb?

I mean, the guy can be good when he is trying to be consistent, but when he's just doing his usual, he ends up having ridiculously inconsistent and poorly written works.

Yeah, I can see that. I guess every writer gets his fair share of hate. Can you believe I've even seen a few people that don't like Grant Morrison's writing? :P
And thanks. Now I know to steer clear of those comics you mentioned.
You'll save yourself pain by avoiding those series, but I can't really see how people don't like Morrison. He's a beast.
