I'm talking some intensely powerful energy beams, like Super Kamehameha type stuff.
Who from Marvel and DC can shoot the biggest and most powerful energy beams?
From DC: Captain Atom, Firestorm, Lady Quark (an oldie but powerful character), Dr. Light (the female version), The Ray, Superman . there are others of course and these are just good guys.
From Marvel: The Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Iron Man, Havok, Cyclops to name a few.

The wrongness of that comment knows no limits.
@blackdog2009: Johnny storm? What? Cyclops? You honestly believe Cyclops outguns Silver Surfer? Human Torch projects more powerful energy than Thanos? Iron Man's Unibeam puts Celestials to shame?
@havenless: in his behalf human torch does a pretty cool blast albeit combined with Storms lightning against World War Hulk that looked pretty big and powerful (but failed to stop hulk)
Who would you choose then??
@havenless: I guess I misunderstood. But Johnny Storm is supposed to be able to disperse a very powerful and deadly, upper energy level nova blast. The new generation wouldn't know it since the Fantastic Four have not been written properly for decades now.

From DC, it is mostly the top tier lanterns and entities like parallax, Larfleeze near the top.
From Marvel, we have characters like Thanos, Odin, etc who can cause massive cosmic damage. Then there is Galactus.
@batvibe12: oh yeah, aunt may solos both DC and marvel universes with her beams
