Frank Millers Dark Knight? V for Vendetta? Watchmen? What do you guys think?
It doesn't have to be out of these three...trying to figure out which to buy next.

@dagmar_merrill: doesn't have to be out of these three...probably should of made my post clearer :)
The Dark Knight and Watchmen were both transformative for the industry, and V for Vendetta is a strong graphic novel, but I wouldn't call any of these selections the best. Alan Moore and Frank Miller are both excellent storytellers, and I will never forget reading any of these the first time. I dunno if I'm qualified to offer the best ever. For me, I suppose, The Killing Joke demonstrated comics were no longer just a child's medium, and the marriage of art and story completely held my attention unlike any comic before it.
It's completely subjective, there is no right or wrong answer here.
Ok well maybe there are some wrong answers, but no absolutely correct answer
Frank Miller's daredevil man without fear is pretty top-notch.
I don't know what I would say is the best, but as stereotypical as it sounds, you really can't go wrong with Alan Moore or Frank Miller.
@voracioussouls: Moore or Miller's 80s stuff, they've both really lost touch these days
@drmantistoboggan: that's definitely true, I've ignored Moore for a while now what with that silly fairy tail pornography and whatnot.
Kingdom Come
It's completely subjective
Obviously. Is there really a need to post this?
Well my favorite is either All Star Superman or Inhumans by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee. Probably change in a few days though.
@jeanralphio: why even make this thread then
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I also don't want to start a new useless one.
I've never cared about or really even liked superman before, in fact, the best story for superman I've read was in dark knight strikes again.
So what is the best introductory superman graphic novel I can get? Is all-star superman the best superman graphic novel for a first timer?
@jeanralphio: why even make this thread then
Because OP knows what an opinion is and that's clearly what he wanted(amirite OP? @sonofkrypton).what do you think is the best graphic novel not if the question is subjective or not,that is the most obvious thing ever.

Try Birthright
@the_stegman: delightful, thank you.
@outside_85: I've been hearing good things about this one, definitely want to look into it!
@jeanralphio: yup :)
@deadgod: yea I'm surprised no one mentioned maus..
@sonofkrypton: yeh i noticed not many mention Maus when talking about their favorite comics , its one of few comics along with Sandman & Watchmen to have brought the term "graphic novel" & changing public's perception of comics of just children's book to a serious work of art & literature which is worthy of academic recognition & being taught in schools & also the first comic to win a Pulitzer's prize. Its just awesome!
