Poll What if Neon Genesis Evangelion was the anime inspiration for Teen Titans instead of FLCL? (2 votes)

Awesome sauce even more than it is 50%
We already had Shinji and Asuka that annoy us, we don't need five more 50%
Well it is an anime Murakami mostly likely used already so it'll be just the same 0%
Other opinions 0%

1995: the world saw the release of Neon Gensis Evangelion by director Hideaki Anno. With ground breaking (or polarizing) animation, radically different characters from the norms of the time (for good and bad) and large scale plot never before heard of, this series broke many grounds in anime since its release and probably even more so with its final movie, End of Evangelion

2003: In the wake of the relatively groundbreaking DC Animated Universe that began a decade earlier with Batman the Animated Series, Alumni Glen Murakami sought to take the potential of the DC universe via the 1980s icons the New Teen Titans and experiment with the popular anime aesethetic that was growing a following at the time. With the release of the successor to Evangelion called FLCL present, it seemed a smart move to capture that shows look.

Now we ask, what if Murakami made the Teen Titans animated series based on Evangelion's character models and designs instead of FLCL?
