Malcolm Merlyn, Felicity Smoak (particularly early Felicity), Diggle (makes sense considering he was made for the show), Damien Darhk, and emphasis on Ollie's fighting prowess.
I agree with this. Season 1 Wellsobard was awesome.
Sad they seem to be reverting him into the unlikable, one-dimensional, generic supervillain he is in the comics.
Yeah, he was made even better by Tom Cavanagh's brilliant acting of the character.
I don't like what they're doing with Reverse Flash now either. I blame whoever is writing Legends. I mean, look how poorly they portrayed Vandal Savage.
Same with Merlyn. That guy should've been gone after Season 2. The longer he stays around, the more his badassery fades for me. He got pwned by Oliver in like 5 seconds in Season 4, now he, Damien, and Thawne are like The 3 Stooges over on Legends.

Couldn't agree more with Merlyn, it seems like they keep bringing him back more out of obligation to use John Barrowman as much as they can.
I remember loving Tom Cavanagh's Harrison Wells, but then hating Matt Letscher's Eobard Thawne. It's like the people behind future seasons of The Flash & Legends of Tomorrow didn't understand why Wellsobard was so popular in the first place. I still think Matt Letscher is a good actor, but he really wasn't given as good of material to work with as say, Cavangh was
Exactly. He adds nothing to the plot. He's just there because the showrunners love Barrowman so much.
With Cavanagh, I love the guy and he's a great actor, but come on, The Flash can't go one season without him? I like Matt Letscher too, but like you said, he's not given great material to work with him.
tom was not even comic accurate , tf ppl complained grant was not comic accurate and when matt who plays a good comic accurate portrayal yall complaining about

Rick Mory, Captain Cold, Reverse, the Harrison Wells, Felicity Smoak, Diggle, freaking Merlyn. Among others. They make characters who were literally one panel shows into major characters with character development and interesting story arcs. It's ridiculous actually.
