What do you think of Star Wars: Darth Vader by Kieron Gillen?

I was thinking of getting on board with this and giving the Darth Vader book a shot, starting at the Volume 1 trade paperback which came out last year I think.

Until now the idea of Star Wars comics never really appealed to me, but I held Vol 1 in my hands today and I felt the power of the dark side (Marvel) drawing me in...

Any opinions on this title? Is it worth checking out? I'm a fairly big fan of the movies (who isn't I guess).

Anything with Vader done by Marvel is a good read so far.

Mike Deodato,s art alone is reason enough to get this. It's so beautiful!

I'm not a huge fan of prequels but it's very well done.

@rainshadow777: It's not that, it's just sometimes stuff in Gen. Discussion doesn't get replied to all the time.

Now that I've swung around to the idea of a Star Wars book I'm second guessing which one I should read in any case. There is just too much interesting material. I guess Dark Vader is as good a place as any to start.

I only read like 6 issues before I quit (mostly due to comic burn out) but they were all good

Story was anything too great but Vader character was spot on which really sold it
