Watch the First Ghostbusters Trailer

On July 15, the newest Ghostbusters film hits the big screen, starring a whole new group of people, busting ghosts across New York City. While fans have seen a few still images and posters for the summer film, there hasn't been a trailer, until now. Sony Pictures Entertainment revealed the first trailer for the upcoming film. Check it out for yourself.

Ghostbusters stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones as the new team, trying to save New York from ghosts, again. The film will be directed by Paul Feig and hits theaters everywhere on July 15.

Made me giggle. but that's about it.

That wasn't as bad as I thought it would've been. Maybe I'll catch it when it's on TV....or not....whatever.

I don't have any strong opinions about this one way or the other.

I thought it wasn't connected? Why the hell are they even acknowledging the other Ghostbusters then?

That aside it looks about how I expected which isn't good.

I was very skeptical of this, but it looks like it'll be funny.

Is it just me or does the plot seem familiar to anyone else? The title of the movie slipped my mind.

Anyway, I don't care one way or another about this. Not even a fan of the original Ghostbusters.

I honestly despise this sort of film-making. It's the complete opposite of the original Ghostbusters. It's a totally unoriginal, rehashed, lazy, piggy-backing film that's going to try to get away with making millions of dollars by doing nothing aside from swapping genders.

Here's a concept; Use your brain and think of a new and original film to write. It's not that difficult.

I'm gonna give it a shot looks like it has the same amount of heart as the original

I was really hoping that Leslie Jones would prove that she could do more, but nope, she is still similar to Tracey Morgan. Melissa McCarty looks to be playing the goofy oaf again. I wanted her to do more as well.

Wiig and McKimmon's characters look useful though.

Are people still going on about this? Return of the Jedi was also very similar to A New Hope as was Phantom Menace. Clones lifted almost all its visual imagery from Empire and most of its main plot points as well. Revenge was a mashup of Empire and Jedi.

Star Wars hasn't done anything really new plotwise since Empire. Why people took so long to notice that, I'll never know. Instead of doing anything wildly new, Star Wars is a franchise that makes marginal improvements on what it already has.

As for the trailer, not bad. Looks like a silly fun popcorn romp, which is all I was really expecting

Well, at least it has Slimer, so I guess that's not a total loss. But some of the weapons kinda look like watching a live-action version of Extreme Ghostbusters.

So the producers said over and over how they want to distance this version from the earlier films. And they thought it would be a good idea to set the movie in New York City, start off with a librarian ghost and have a black Woman join the team later on in the film... Really?

Honestly, i feel like they originally wanted to do a new film, until they saw the success of Jurassic Park. While it was an OK film, it made billions basically tugging on our nostalgia strings, so this movie is going to try and replicate that. It even copied the music styling of taking the iconic original tune and playing it slowly on the piano.

I like the special effects. The ghosts look really cool. I'm indifferent to the rest of it, though. If my friends show interest I might go see it. If not, I think I'll pass.

I'm excited. It looks like a cool movie to go see, nostalgic; like Jurassic World.

I cracked smile. Don't know that I'm willing to shell out $20 to watch this though. But after month when the price drops...

Looks ok, but I am still not sure about the 100% gender swap. The first Ghostbusters was all-male, the new one is all female, maybe the reboot should have gone with two and two instead?

It looks ok not a bad trailer it really didn't fire me up though. My fear is that they are going to try way too hard at being clever and jokes are going to come out awkward. I actually really want this to work because I love the Ghostbusters

Wiig was funny and the ghosts look cool. But Leslie Jones....good god what were they thinking casting her? I was expecting an "aww hell naw!" and I got one. What, did Aisha Tyler want too much money or something?

The special effect/action part looks on point but I'm still skeptical of the cast. Slimers there though , that's always cool.

Looks like an average movie, not as bad as the online reaction would have you believe. But, this doesn't look good either. It's probably not gonna flop, but I doubt it launches a GHOSTBUSTERS Universe.

People are blowing this way out of proportion. It looks like it will be an amusing movie. Two and a half of the ladies are a bit more subtle in their humor and the other one and a half are more in-your-face. I expect a balanced assault as they battle for my chuckles.

I'm sure this is gonna be a great date movie and a movie for a girls night out. I doubt they get enough people in the theater to launch a Movie Universe.

I was interested throughout the trailer, but I didn't so much as chuckles, so...I'm not sure where that leaves me. I guess in the upper "Meh" territory.

We now officially have a pattern with sequels that are made years after the original, claim to be unique and their own product but take everything from the first and present it with a fresh coat of paint.

This looks generic and unfunny. I don't think anyone really wanted a Ghostbusters movie, much less a reboot. But ok I guess. I predict a flop.

Fans were screaming for Deadpool and they came out, fans weren't screaming for Ghostbusters and they.....

That's because people are to lazy too watch the original.
