What are some Villains that should have logically killed their Hero counterparts years ago?
I'm going;
- Skeletor should have murdered He-Man
- Mumra should have obliterated the Thunder Cats
I'm going;
@jashro44: Yeah, I never understood why Sandman just didn't do this.
Every single one of them. I'm sure just about every single villain has a story where they have the hero dead to rights, and instead of killing them, they wanted to keep them alive to suffer or see how their plan destroys everything around them or some other plot device to make the hero seem in peril and rise up at the last moment to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat.
I always think of this whenever I see this scenario happen
I know right.
Who would be Galactus hero counterpart? The Watcher? They are equals in power.
I thought there was a reason for him not doing so?
=========================
@lukehero: No, I was thinking the Fantastic Four
Jesse and James should have caught pikachu a long time ago since they have caught pokemon (lengendaries) far stronger before.
The Thunderbirds (and Lightning Bolts) were absolutely being curbstomped by Graviton, and one of the members is like, "If you kill us, Avengers,Shield, etc, etc ,etc, Then what? You have no purpose!!!" Then he is like "Your right" and flys away. One of the stupidest ways to ever get saved in history.
The Avengers should of died too to countless threats including Graviton, Galactus, Dr.Doom, Kang, etc.
Galactus > Reed Richards
Batman vs William Cobb didn't really make sense, One second he could easily overwhelm and counter any attack Batman did, but when Batman was starved, tortured, dehydrated, and feral after a week and THEN he was stabbed through the chest, He curbstomped William.
Lex Luthor > Superman
Darkseid > Justice League
Poison Ivy, Clayface, Prometheus, Dr. Phosperous > Batman
Sandman, Morlun > Spider-Man
Gorgon > Wolverine
Off the top of my head
Well, with Gravition, that's an explanation as to why he didn't do so....he was scared of being bored. Now, that's pretty ridiculous, but....there you go.
Most of the rest I agree with.
For all of Team Rockets high feats, they have shown a lot of stupidity as well though. They work for a company that created Mewtwo, but they want freaking Pikachu? Why?
Joker doesn't really want to kill Batman.
They had help from the Watcher though.
I have to disagree, sometimes there is an explanation. Sometimes the explanation is stupid, but it is what it is. Overall, I do feel villains should be getting more wins than they do.
@joygirl: Sand stomp?

Giovoni still supplys them with some resources so he must still want pikachu to some extent but he continues to have jessie and james to do it which probably means its a low level mission/need since they are his lowest ranking members of team rocket .
But still like you said team rocket shouldn't need pikachu at all since they themselves have made pokemon who are way stronger.
@those_eyes: Yeah, besides the obvious fact that they are mega rich & could just buy one?
Maybe, that's why they want it.
CIS, maybe annoying, it's still falls under the explanation category, even if it's stupid.
@lukehero: is an explanation after-the-fact in other words PIS
@lukehero: is an explanation after-the-fact in other words PIS
Are you saying it's CIS or PIS? If a character does something that is stupid, and therefore fail to get the win due to their own mistakes, that's CIS, which is OK. If it's PIS, then that's a whole other thing.
the suthor of bleach tends to retcon his own plot at times the whole zangestu is not his zampacto fiasco is a good demonstration of this from his first appearance to the last and evn right after it as well he never demonstrated the charicter trait that supposedly go t him defeated
@cjdavis103: IDK, that seems like CIS, I would normally call that WIS, but their is only one main author in a Manga type situation, where a comic character gets dozens of writers, which waters down the content.
@lukehero: there is onl one writer but he tends to forget his own plot
but hey eiter way
Ares should probably kill Wonder Woman. when she wins it makes him look very weak. Probably;y why he isn't as big a villain as he should be.
Aizen
hell yes, and would have if Urahara didn't step in.

He was a rather pretty important....'villain' if you will at times, I wouldn't call him a pure villain as he did help WW/Cassie at times. But he was pretty big during the arc involving the Godwave. Though yeah he was beaten in such stupid ways....SUCH STUPID WAYS.
Of course now the N52 completely ruined his character...but hey, what can ya do.
@knightfall225: Well to be fair to Ares; at least Diana is stronger now and is actually the daughter of Zeus, so any losses now should be forgiven.
@guardiandevil83: How's that fair to Ares?
@wolfrazerI think he means it fair to Ares to lose now because WW is the daughter of Zeus. Its better to lose to the daughter of Zeus than an Amazon created from clay.
@knightfall225: Well Ares N52 didn't really fight WW and was killed while fighting the First Born from behind...again it was pretty **** for his character, Pre-52 Ares was a much, much, MUCH better character.
As for Pre-52 Ares losing now to WW and it being fair?....Eh...not sure on that.
@wolfrazer: Just saying she is a bit more powerful and actually a demi-goddess rather then a clay abstract
Darkseid in his first encounter a casual back hand puts Supes down and draws blood, Plus Superman admits he'd be crazy to try to take him on head on.
@youmessinwithme: I thought DS treaty with the GL or the new Gods or something like that is why he didn't ice superman on the first couple of meetings?
@jashro44: @pr0metheus: @lukehero: well to be fair, Sandman didnt want to actually kill Spidey in several battles. And Morlun DID kill Peter.
@avenging_x_bolt: Good points.
zoom, Venom (Eddie Brock).
I thought Zoom, didn't want to kill flash, just mess with him. Eddie Brock has been incompetent at times. Didn't he once trick Peter Parker onto a deserted Island & with prep still failed to get the job done?
