Underrated / Overrated

It can be anything comic related; writer, series, artist, characters etc. Give one underrated and one overrated and a brief explanation if you want. I'll start with:

Series:

Underrated: Animal Man: More people need to read this. It's fresh, sick and twisted with great characters.

Overrated: Walking Dead - I don't understand the popularity this gets. Read the first few trades, characters are so dry and boring that I want the zombies to win.

Writer:

Underrated: Mark Waid

Overrated: Geoff Johns

Characters:

Underrated: Hercules - put him against any other powerhouse in the comic universe and most say he loses. He's better than what 95% of people say he is.

Daken - A lot of people don't realize just how good Daken is. What he does to people and how he kills. It's kind of messed up really.

Ares - He's not underrated really, just horribly written.

Overrated: Superman - Apparently he can beat everyone.

Wonder Women - I still can never see her beating Thor. NEVER.

Batman - He's not a God. He's just a freakin' human.

Underrated - Anything by Joe Casey.

Overrated - Luke Cage.

Underrated-  Voodoo, I Vampire, Static (the character not the series)  
 
Overrated- X Men, Batwoman, American Vampire, The Walking Dead comic

Overrated: Alan Moore

Artists

Series: Underrated: red hood and the outlaws. its not a masterpiece but i enjoy it Overrated: Northlanders, its fine i guess but does not live up to the hype Writer: Underrated: Nick Spencer Overrated: Mark Millar is a hack. geoff johns and bendis also suck

underrated black panther,bishop, taskmaster,luke cage,gambit, x-23 thunderbolts, the ultimates, x-force, superboy, nightwing, ms. marvel ult. nick fury

Overrated: Wolverine, Deadpool (even though I do like him), Spider-Woman, Jean Grey, Superman, Emma Frost

Underrated: Ms. Marvel, Mockingbird, X-23, Nico Minoru, Anole, Alpha Flight, Tigra, Jacosta, Poison Ivy, Molly Hayes, Songbird, New Mutants

Thor is overrated to, can't even lie though i'm a Thor fan.

Only thing underrated about him is his speed...sometime strength.

i think are more difficult thing to find is something that is in the borderline. I there any of those.

X-23 is definitely overrated

Though I think you guys are confusing overrated with overpowered and overexposed.

Underrated: Ben Reilly (Marvel)
