I don't understand why everyone thinks the hulk is overrated.

Almost unlimited strength, nearly invulnerable. How is he overrated? I am not being a smart ass, I am seriously asking why people think he is overrated.

Wolverine is freaking awesome, man. I don't think he's overrated. And Batman's a fking tank. Superman is overrated coz he's only got 1 physical weakness and he still let's Batman beat the shit out of him with a Kryptonite ring. Batman's awesome coz he's so smart. Superman's not. Given time batman could devise a plan to take down anyone. He beat Darkseid. However I understand Superman appeals to alot of people so they are definitely not going to agree with me.

Haha yea. Aquaman. underrated. Often mocked for his weak and seemingly useless powers. I think he's cool, even if no-one else does.

Wolverine isnt overrated? He's freaking everywhere. I cant stand the guy anymore, he used to be this short never back down guy who may get his ass whipped but always kept comin, now its just ridiculous, the guy gets blown up and theres nothing left but a skeleton, and with in seconds he's back and kicking the tar outta Nitro. Makes me sick.

Admittedly, he's in too many places. And the nitro thing was weird, but Jeph Loeb's current run is worse. Humberto Ramos' art was freakin' kickass on the civil war tie-in though.

Yea. Darkseid's not as awesome as he thinks he is. I like Ed Mcguiness' art better though.

All very true, Hazard. I just think he gets too much credit in the universe of superheroes that he inhabits. So he's got a REALLY powerful, and potentially wide-ranging, beam that emits from his eyes. But it also cripples him - i mean he has to wear ruby-quartz eyewear at all times, or keep his eyes closed. Using his bare eyes (no ruby-quartz) to emit the beam makes him lose a ton of accuracy & control too. Meanwhile he's on a team with a lady that can control the weather at will. And he lives on a planet with a countless number of characters that are so much more powerful and have a wider range of powers. PLUS many of them are less handicapped by their powers.

I dunno, I just think he gets a lot of credit where maybe not so much is due. Just my 2 cents.

Now that I told you why I don't think he's overrated, is this the part where you say why you think he is overrated? reasons he is not overrated: 1) class 100 strength 2) near immortality (at least) 3) mjolnir 4) control of lightning/thunder 5) flight 6) general god-like attributes (abiltiy to sustain life without breathing, allowing him to traverse space, etc.)

no, that looks "rated." those are attributes he has - they aren't inflated, exagerrated, or "overrated."

I dont care enough about Thor to even debate you on this, to me Thor is overrated and thats what I put.

Wolverine - At one point he was vying with Batman for my second favorite character but now his improved healing factor has him immortal and impossible to defeat, he is the best fighter to ever grace our planet, and fanboys take his "I'm the best at..." self congratulatory speech to mean that he really is the best at everything. Wow I wish that everything everyone ever said about themselves was true. Imagine what I could do with that.

Batman - Finding the time to master multiple sciences that it takes a lifetime to master, as well as all martial arts ever conceived, turning yourself into a peak human in every possible area, and being able to devise a way to beat anyone you may ever face qualifies for him being the most overrated character of all time. And he used to be my second favorite.

Black Panther - He's becoming Marvel's version of Batman... and that's not a good thing.

Cassie Caine - Someone decided she can move in bullet time, while she is still just a peak human... Peak human? I'm to believe that at maybe 5'5" 100 lbs she is as strong as a human being is possible of being? Really?

I'll buy Gambit, Elektra, and Punisher but I dont see Superman as being overrated. I mean he is what he is. He's supposed to be the most powerful hero. And which Captain Marvel? The original Mar-Vell? The woman who could turn into different forms of energy? Mar-Vell's son Genis?

I don't get why everyone focuses on ONE instance. It's like, forget the past, this happened right now, so let's look at the one time he healed from nothing. Just because he did it once does not mean that's how he is now, that's just one writer's idea. I'm not defending Wolverine or anything, but assuming that's the way the character is going to be from now on, and jumping on him for it, is ridiculous. Until other writers start making him Mr. Immortal or something, then that's not how Wolverine works, so give him a break on calling him overrated just because one writer made his healing factor insanely effective. He's overrated for other reasons. ;P
