These are the movie versions,

Thor 2 and Man of Steel

A) Which movie will be better?

B) Who would win in a fight?

A) Judging by the trailers, MOS looks like it will be a higher quality film than Thor 2. Man of Steel, to me sounds like it will be far more interesting and deep than another Thor movie.

B) who knows. The films haven't come out yet, so we don't know exactly how powerful they are.

@mirrorwave4: Why must you ask me this question. My two favourite comic heroes but I have to say I'm looking forward to Man of Steel more because I'm a big Superman fan

I don't know which will be better, but since I like Thor more than Superman, I would choose to watch Thor 2 over Man of Steel, Thankfully I can watch them both.

Judging only by the trailers I'd say Man of Steel takes both.

But neither are out yet so I can't say for sure.

Basically this.

I will say, in the first Thor Movie, and Avengers, Thor was one of the strongest characters in the Marvel Movie-verse, but Kal looks like he is going to be a lot stronger even than that. We have the strength feat of him holding up that huge steel thing already, not to mention what looks like a massive brawl late in the film.

Thor 2 looked pretty bland, Superman has ALL the special effects behind showing his power, and what was the biggest effect in the Thor 2 trailer? he swung his hammer and like 5 or 6 guys fall down?

- I don't know, but i'm leaning towards Thor: The Dark World. Just seems like more of my type of movie at the moment. With me being really into Skyrim and Game of Thrones right now. Thor 2 fits that perfectly. And as far as first trailers go, Thor: The Dark World's blew Man of Steel's out of the water.

Man of Steel for both. Thor 1 was pretty weak to me, and I'm not blown away by the thor 2 trailer too.

@laserlambert: Close enough. He actually teleported to his Hammer, slamming it into the ground, causing the men to fall.

@fury714: Agreed. The first Thor movie was lame. It suffered from "Iron Man 3 syndrome" tons of humor that just wasn't funny. As well as corny action and cgi, plus a corny romance between an average performance (Hemsworth) and a bad one (Portman). But the biggest problem was the story line, the story didn't even follow the premise it set up for itself early on. Didn't make any sense.

Thor 2 looks like it'll be good though, but not as good as Man of Steel.

Man of steel will be a better movie as its the first in its the rebooted superman franchise and other reasons like nolan and snyder. Thor 2 will be amazing if they do justice to dark elves and finally let thor show his teleporting abilities and display strength feats that comic books fans kow about but movie fans dont.

movie superman and movie thor, no one wins. they fight ans realize they are both on the same side and become best friends. lol

Plus, DC cannot fail Man Of Steel, or else it will spell doom for the future of DC movies, namely JL or Superman/Batman. Thor 2 on the other hand and has the freedom of flopping I guess due to the fact that it's just kind of a filler for Avengers 2 anyway.

@jj62: agreed on all accounts!

Can't say much as to who would win in a fight, but MoS seems far more like a sweeping epic drama while Thor 2 looks to be more of the same. Either way Ill probably enjoy both. MoS just seems to have a deeper, richer seriousness to it than Thor 2. I like movies that are ambitious, and with Nolan producing there is no denying they've set their sights high with this one.

Hard to tell when one isn't out yet and the other only has one trailer out. Plus its hard to tell, since trailers are somewhat deceptive.

Superman owns movie Thor.

@jointron33: Harley: So now you're just going to leave me here, like my dad? Tony: Yeah. Wait, you're guilt tripping me, aren't you?

Harley: I'm cold.

Tony: I can tell. You know how I can tell? 'Cause we're connected.

A: I think that they'll both be equally great movies.

B: I think Thor would win since Mjolnir is magic based I believe and Superman is weak to magic attacks.

That being said, the expectations for MoS seem to have hit atmospheric levels.

More excited for Thor 2.

This too. Thor threatening Loki for his life in the trailer just shows us how serious he's going to be in it.

Man of Steel will be the better movie, and Superman will almost always beat Thor in a fight.

Basically this though from what I get in the trailers Superman looks more powerful but Who Knows...

Superman, unless they make magic a weakness in further movies. If they do then it's close.

I'm going with Thor. Other than the over-the-top fights, MoS didn't have a lot of substance. (But Kevin Costner was AMAZING)

Thor 2, on the other hand, had some of the best non-action scenes in the entire MCU.

A) I preferred Man of Steel over Thor 2. Man of Steel was a bit more emotionally impacting for me. Thor 2 had incredible fight scenes but it felt like Loki was the only thing keeping the movie together.

B) I'd say the Superman in Man of Steel would possibly get his ass beat by Thor due to his inexperience, but a veteran Superman vs a veteran Thor would definitely end in Thor's defeat.

Man of Steel both rounds.

Marvel has a problem delivering good villains. Malekith was extremely disappoint.

Zod on the other hand was amazing.

If people think MOS was better than Avengers (still not true :P) then there's no way that it's not better than any other MCU film.
