Marvel Divas #1.
http://comicvine.gamespot.com/marvel-divas-1-book-one-bad-news-on-a-good-day/4000-162555/
OK folks, I'm new here and I'm looking for help trying to figure out what vintage comics I'm looking for.
This post concerns 2 war comic storylines from the somewhere in the mid 60s through mid 70s.
#1- a story featuring a newly arrived replacement in the ETO who is loaded down with all new equipment. It follows the soldier as he progressively loses his "excess" gear as he encounters combat situations on his way to meet up with his assigned unit. In no particular order he loses an overcoat, backpack, gas mask and excess grenades. There may be more stuff he sheds that I forgot about. I'm pretty sure this comes from a DC book but I cant swear to it. I think it might have been an extra story in a 64 page special edition but I dont remember for sure.
#2- a truly "unreal" tale- its told from the perspective of a jeep that gets blown up and abandoned along the side of a road. It "tells" a couple of stories about how, even though is can no longer function as a mobile jeep, it can still assist Allied soldiers in different ways. If I'm right, this one was a rather short "filler" kind of story in what was probably a larger issue. Again, I think its a DC book but I dont know for sure.
Please feel free to inbox/PM me (whatever is the correct term for this forum). I want to find out what edition of what comic book series these stories are from and I want to buy the book and add it to my small collection.
Thanks
Ken

Well do you know what is the incursion/incursions?
@krleavenger: yeah they're the events that lead up to secret wars where two earths destroy eachother.
@oldwasher: Well in Hicman's Run on the New Avengers (vol 3) the Illuminati kept the information on Incursions a secret to anyone minus Steve Rogers. They tried to use te Infinity Gauntlet to stop the Incursions but stopping Earth is not the same as Incursions. The rule the Beyonders decided to make is that either one Earth will be destroyed and it's Universe or both Earths will be destroyed and both Universes will be destroyed. The Illuminati tried to broke the rules by saving both Earths (so both Universes) by using Steve's willpower with the IG. They moved Earth back to it's Universe but because that broke the laws Omnipotent Beyonders put, it was to much for the Gems and they broke. Illuminati saw that there's no way to stop the incursions, only play by the rules, meaning they have to destroy the other Earht before it destroys itself and their Earth. Knowing that Steve wont allow them to destroy billions of lives by Destroying Universes so he forgot all events that happened with Gems and Illuminati by Dr. Strange and were ready to destroy every Earth that is comming to them in order for their Universe to be the one who will survive all of the Incursions.
At one point by the time they encountered Earth-4290001 Bruce Banner became a member of the Illuminati. But going back to Earth-4290001, on that planet there are no Marvel heroes, only heroes which ar elike modified members of DC's JL and in that reailty they formed a team called Great Society which is modified Version of JL for Marvel's Earth-4290001 and one of those members if the Leader of the Team called Sun God who is modified Marvel's version of Superman but only made for the plot (not like Hyperion, Sentry, Gladiator...).
Illuminati were fighting Great Society in order to destroy their Earth In order to protect their own. While each member was fighting each one, powerhouse is always fighting the powerhouse right? Well Sun God was fighting the Hulk who was at that time member of the Illuminati as I said. So that is what was going on the panle you showed.
@krleavenger: thank you for helping me out. I was able to find the issue for myself once you told me where it was from. I had no idea marvel made yet another superman clone.
@oldwasher: It's not a Superman clone. Actually Hyperion and Gladiator are Superman clones. All the other ones like Sentry, Blue Marvel... have nothing to do with Superman (Sentry maybe like 20% of his character but not really). In the end Marvel has only two Superman clones. Sun God can't be a Superman clone as he is more of a plot device than a character.
@krleavenger: true

Batman: The Dark Knight Vol 2 #2
I originally posted this on a different forum. However, I decided to post it here because it was more relevant here.
"So, I vaguely remember reading about a comic series. The comic was about these people who become famous because they announce after a period of time (a week I think) they will kill themselves. I think it is part of a fictional reality show, but I may be wrong about it. What I am certain about is the comic was a social satire and not Unfollowed. I can't remember what the actual title is. Does anyone else know what comic this is?"
Not from comics, but does someone know from which anime this gif is from?
Mayo Chiki.
Where is this from?
Thanks
