@cruelwinter: We all have lives and live in different timezones, we can't cover all timezones so sometimes there are times when no mods are online.
The Great Spam War of Comic Vine II: United We Are Strong!
I AM ALIVE, this is the only sane post left and i had to travel 3-4 pages to come here. It seems we are losing the war any alive brothers\sisters left?
@mysticmedivh: Only flag new accounts. We have the old ones
Spam sightings outside of the general discussion:
- Dragon Ball forum

Aside from the Dragon Ball forum, the rest of the forums just have 1-3 little threads worth of spam.
Battle forums too.
Clear!
Send additional forces thr dbz forum, we're being overwhelmed.
Clear.
@the_stegman: Nah we're all screwed
@jgames: Dragon Ball should draw all spam to itself and disappear from Comic Vine forever.
No you fool, we must save every thread, every place, no matter if is Batman, off-topic, Dragon Ball or even that stupid rpg place, we must not falter just because the odds are against us.
Off topic forums have been cleansed, hazzah!
Seems like another wave is coming.
How long did the last spam flood last and was it also from india?anybody?
I can't recall exact but its usually about 24-36h thing and then it drops down to sporadic incursions that may last all week.

For now...
I think we r winning the war.
Doesn't look like that.
@rustyroy: Why?
I cann't see any spammers.

Mods ban them, they keep coming back
@rustyroy: because we told mods to banned them.
oh and don't flag ban the bots, on first look a flag ban looks the same as a forum ban for a mod so I'm having to double check every bot to make sure it's properly banned, just go about your normal forum lives.
So just to make it clear, what you're saying is that in the event of a spambot attack in which no moderators are present or online, one should not get a bunch of people to flag the bots so they're karmabanned and cannot post, but instead leave it be and let the mods handle it when they come online?

Actually I never thought about that. Flag bans look just like mods bans unless you go to the profile
