SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN Announced

Love or hate the Justice Leaguers' developing relationship, DC is giving the duo a series just to spotlight their romance. The ongoing series is simply titled SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN and will dive into their growing relationship. By SWAMP THING writer Charles Soule and ACTION COMICS illustrator Tony Daniel, the first issue will arrive in October.

Dont really like the superman/wonder woman pairing. But its good to see wonder woman in another book

I actually like this idea, as I like the pairing too. And if people don't like it, you can always not read it :P

Although I do remember Johns stating somewhere that those two are going to break up soon and that things would get really nasty but I guess I could be wrong. Plus WW is finally getting another book.

They don't fit as the only ones in a book. Batman/Superman is Night and Day, they're perfect together, but this...ugh.

On one hand, I hate the idea of them as a couple. On the other hand, it brings WW the respect she deserves as one of the Trinity. They had a Superman/Batman series before, so why NOT have WW paired with another Trinity Member for a companion series?

I'll check it out nontheless. Not the biggest fan of this relationship and dianas bitchiness but it could be fun.

An Ongoing? Is DC planning a very long term relationship between these two? I don't know what to make out of this announcement but I'll be on board though. :)

I predict it's demise at #8, because it's premise is the weak to non-existent romance between the two characters and not the sensible choice of the two characters going on adventures together.

I think maybe the target audience is us fangirls that love both of these characters. :)

This romance, this book, everything about it is uninteresting and made of fail. Sales of Justice League have been falling since the Superman and Wonder Woman romance, and recent issues of Superman publicized with Wonder Woman have shown no benefit from the relationship. I can see this book with a good debut because of curiosity and publicity, but overall I think it's a terrible idea. In light of the obvious pop culture pull Superman and Lois Lane have, given the craving critics of Man of Steel had for more Clark/Lois in the blockbuster film, it seems tone deaf on the part of DC to proceed with this relationship and to push it to the extent that they are. I'd rather Wonder Woman get another comic aside from her own that's just about her, like Superman has in his Action book, then for her to be relegated to second billing and love interest. No, thank you.

Couldn't they just give Wonder Woman a second solo title?

I know she sells less than Batman and Superman, but if they're the Trinity, then they could at least try and represent them more equally. They could call it All-Star Comics.

Yeah, I don't see this lasting. The whole Superman-Wonder Woman pairing was a lame attempt to grab attention and bring in new readers, which is fine I guess in a team book, but to devote an entire series to it? I just don't think there's enough there for a worthwhile story.

I think this is a great idea. The New 52 was suppost to be all about taking the characters in new directions without the bagage of the past interfering and this seems to personify that. We have not seen much of a relationship from them thus far asside from a few scattered kisses. I do hope this title is more like Superman - Batman where it shows their friendship along with heroic activities. With Superman - Wonder Woman you could have that as well as more details focusing on their developing romance. I will be certainly checking this title out.

Same. I mean, I'm a little hesitant because DC seems to be really pushing the Superman/Wonder Woman thing and I've always liked him with Lois, but at the same time...why not? If we can have a Batman/Superman book, why not a Superman/Wonder Woman book?
