At the end of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY & X-MEN: THE BLACK VORTEX OMEGA #1, the finale of the Black Vortex cosmic crossover, this happened.

This was actually a bit of a surprise. However, Kitty Pryde and Peter Quill's relationship has been the highlight of the LEGENDARY STAR-LORD series, as well as a HUGE part of Black Vortex. Their relationship really has fans drawn into the series.

So what did she say?

Both the X-Men and the Guardians of the Galaxy are ecstatic with this moment, as was the reader as Kitty Pryde said yes to Star-Lord. This is easily one of the best couples in contemporary comics, and writer Sam Humphries wrote all of this out beautifully.

Plus, he asked her while floating around in space. How awesome is that?

This seems like a short marriage.

I'm fine with it, though something is gonna happen to either stop them from getting married or they'll get married and something is gonna tear them apart. Though that's comics so that's not really something to complain about.

Legitimately surprised they are opposite genders. Perhaps its because I just read the article on Iceman.

woah woah woah. I dont keep up with Marvel too much, but last I read Iceman and Kitty were together. That was as recent as Battle of Atom or whatever that was, and that really wasnt that long ago. I only heard about these guys together a few months ago. Marriage seems super fast.

The state of X-23 lately has left me so depressed. She used to be so cool...now... =/

I don't know about anyone else, but I was seriously bothered by her unwillingness to help Elixir in that Logan Legacy issue...she just left him. Not a single acknowledgement that they even knew each other, much less have been on X-Force together...

Just feels like everyone is taking her in a million different directions and no one is hitting the mark.

I know she isn't the point of this article...but I've been super behind on comics and am only just now catching up and had to get that off my chest...

Good for them. I still think it would be the best thing in comics ever if they revealed in the next issue that she is transgender.

This is cool. I wonder what secret wars is going to do to this though. Age of Apocalpse Kitty is with him but not her. Does that mean she will join the Guardains?

Dude BotA was a year and a half ago and Kitty and Pete got together really soon after (like three? months after) so it has been a little over a year since they first became a thing. I totally approve of this. I loved the idea of them being together way back when and I love it now. Hardcore long distance relationship game right there.

@mightymodok: Yes and that's because it's Marvel and DC who don't let go of their characters. They will break up eventually because it's for the sake of a clean slate for new readers. The editor-in-chief word of God demands it!

Sad truth aside, I am happy. I heard Black Vortex was messy but I am happy.

I could rant but I won't I am happy to think marvel may just show marriage between a male and female can be a good thing.

i'll give this a chance and hopefully marvel will be nice enough to let them stayed married for awhile like for 5 years in real time

a little over a year is a very short time for any relationship to develop into marriage in the real world. In terms of comic relationships its a CRAZY short amount of time.

I love it when people complain about gimmicks as if that isn't what drives people to keep buying comic books. If the gimmicks stopped comics would become irrelevant much faster.
