We're still in The Dark Age. There has to be a big movement in the comic book world, something that shakes it foundations (the way comics are written and/or drawn) to be able to say we're in a new age of comic books.

@SandMan_: The late 90's was the dark age, where art superceded writing and Comics took it in the mouth.

The pre52 universe itself isn't an age. Ages exist as a time period throughout the industry, not just DC.

Not declaring Marvel Now! and the New52 an age yet. If the writing improves by a marked measure or if some new innovation or idea starts dominating the market then maybe. But a year after,is too soon to tell.
