Should they make an animated Harry Potter series?

That would be really interesting, I would for sure give it a shot even though im not exactly a die-hard fan.

No. It was perfect the way it was, it doesn't need to become like the Star Wars franchise: milked to hell and never-ending with random spin offs, sticking with films is fine enough, a film about the founders of Hogwarts would be amazing.

If Harry Potter had come out in the 80's this wouldn't be a question. We'd have a cheap Saturday morning cartoon where Harry and friends experience middle school at Hogwarts and their adventures have NOTHING to do with the book series except for some characters showing up in episodes. Also, the owl and cat would play a comic relief role. Think Slimer from The Real Ghostbusters. Of course, these day's kids would expect something a little more mature...so to speak.

They already adapted all of them into hit movies, so I don't see the need for another adaptation.

One of the worst things about big budget franchises nowadays is the refusal to let them end. Harry Potter was a fantastic series, but the real story ended years ago. Let it end and work on something new.

Different story, same universe would be ideal.

Little hints here and there that point back to the events of the books would be nice, but a series that sets out to expound on the magical world created by Rowling is what I really want. And when I say world, I mean world. It would be great to really see some East Asian, Middle Eastern, African and South American mysticism come into play.

They can create the animated series about different characters in the same world.

Make it an anime. The theme song/OP can be "Cha La"

Hermione acts tsundere towards Ron

Harry Potter acts like a typical shonen character (he's actually not the brightest in the books/series, so it makes sense)

Voldemort can be portrayed similar to Orochimaru (they both have a thing for snakes)

And Sirius Black can be the perverted teacher, or should that be Lupin?

I have had enough of the Harry Potter franchise.

I think a comic series would be better, but I don't see a problem of the Harry Potter universe being explored in a cartoon. I'd prefer it didn't star Harry though.
