Ok I am seeing you guys give the movie a low to mid score so I'll just give my reasons why I found it to be 10/10, just to put my reasoning for it:
1. The movie explored his past and present well imo and they showed it in good detail e.g. he is an old soul and has lived for hundreds of years, his parent/s were killed right in front of his eyes when he was a kid and the poor kid ran away in his pyjamas right into the forest, he was in the military with his brother, he had bony claws before he got metal claws, he was in a gang of badasses with his brother for a while, he was experimented on by Stryker and buddies and became a lethal weapon, adding in Deadpool in at the end was a surprise and showing the similarities between Deadpool and Wolverine was cool
2. Seeing the stuff about his close family problems, like with his brother and gf, was very good and touching. He had a close connection with his brother but seeing the connection fall apart was saddening and touching.
3. All the action scenes and fight scenes were top notch and Hugh Jackman was powerful as Wolverine...he shouted so loudly when he was becoming Wolverine in the experiment...he was really loving his craft when he acted out the part...he was really feeling it...so much emotion put into it
4. Even the touches of humour here and there worked well with the movie and didn't make the movie cringeworthy or worse. If I recall correctly, while Wolvie is fleeing he sleeps in an old couple's barnhouse/shed/garage/something and when they get shocked by seeing a stranger sleeping in that building it's so amusing. The way Wolvie interacts with the old couple is funny. The motorcycle riding is dope as heck.
One criticism I could make is that Wolverine wasn't portrayed in the height he has in the comics. In the comics, as most of you know, he's about 5'3" but in this movie he was like 6 feet tall or something? however all the X-Men movies made Wolverine much taller than he really is so yeah no biggie.
